http://myBitWorth.com

I'm pleased to announce the alpha version of myBitWorth.

MyBitworth allows you to watch multiple BTC addresses, enter general btc entries and follow their profit/loss/value, and import a Securities (BitFunder, Havelock, CryptoStocks, Direct Shares) portfolio to see your total BTC worth in the currency of your choice.  Set the currency and exchange, and you can keep an eye on your holdings 24/7!

There are no logins and no information is stored on our server.

Please leave feedback and suggestions to make this service even better.

Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

Awesome! That's exactly what I wanted to build for months but did not find the time … great to see that someone did it!
Maybe you could include alt coins as well? I guess many people have litecoins, primecoins etc. in their portfolio, it would be great if we could track their BTC value as well.

yes, I plan to include alt coin portfolios at some point, thank you!

Try switching the exchange.  Bitstamp API is only in USD, but I'll add a conversion function in there for EUR.

Here are the features I hope to add in the coming weeks.  Please let me know if you want something that is not on this list:

  • Track Direct Shares and values tied to an exchange
  • Exchange conversions - for exchanges that don't feature a currency, use a currency converter to get the value
  • Import/Export settings - allow you to transfer your settings/entries to another computer/browser
  • AltCoin Support

I've added support for Cryptostocks.com

You have to enter the following keys in your cryptostocks account:
get_coin_balances
get_share_balances

Then, use those values for the Import Portfolio form.

myBitWorth has added support for direct shares.  Now, you can track the value of your direct shares by using a security on one of the exchanges as a reference.

Here's how it works:
  • Go to http://myBitWorth.com
  • Click on Import Portfolio
  • Select "Direct Shares"
  • Select Price Source (the exchange)
  • Enter Amount of shares owned
  • Select the security from the list
  • Click Import

Enjoy!

Very nice! Maybe you could sort the securities in alphabetic order, that would make it easier to find the right one.

It'd be cool if you could just bookmark the page with your settings, instead of saving it with a cookie or however it's saved now. For instance, if you set it to watch an address and you want to use Bitstamp as your reference, make the page accessible by http://mybitworth.com/index.php?address=1xxxxxxxxxxxxxx;source=bitstamp

After the API disaster at Inputs.io I am hesistant to use an API to monitor my portfolio.  Could there not be an option to just manually enter how many shares of each security you own?

I will look into that for the future, that may be something that could be added without much effort.  I have been contemplating an import/export features for settings, as well.

The hesitation I have about putting information in the URL is that it could be read by 3rd parties.

There is that option, yes.  Use the Direct Shares feature.  Go to Import Portfolio, select Direct Shares, enter the shares you own, and select the exchange and security to follow.  There is no API key to use for this.

As long as you set your API keys to read only, there shouldn't be any issue.  None of the keys/api information is shared with our server, so it would be hard to get that info, anyway.

thanks for using it!  If you guys use it and tell me what features you want, I'll try and include them.  I have a long list of development ideas for this.

The priorities right now are fixing bugs, adding error messages, and then support for alt coins.  I'd like to eventually support all major exchanges (including the BTC exchanges).

Ok folks, based on feedback, here's the list of things I'm hoping to develop in the coming weeks.  If anyone can spare a few bitcents to help keep this going (just click "tip me" on the site), it will help get these things done faster.

  • Adding error handling - right now, if you enter bad info, it just doesn't work, but it doesn't tell you why Smiley
  • API support for the major BTC exchanges so that you can view your BTC and fiat kept in those exchanges
  • General Cash/Fiat entry
  • Import/Export settings and ledger
  • Mastercoin and litecoin support (for the moment, limited to watching addresses)
  • General bugs and tweaks (lots of these)
  • Added help and documentation

Thanks to all the comments for people, the feedback has been great!  With your help, we'll keep making this a better tool

Is there a way to synchronize myBitWorth with Firefox on Android? At least make it possible to import Bitcoin addresses with a QR-code (because copy pasting is cumbersome on a touchscreen device).

On the 'watch bitcoin address' bit.  For example, I have an account that has 0.035 in it (shh, I'm poor).  The value of the wallet in my local currency is correct, but the display amount is rounded up to 0.04.

I'm not sure I understand.  On Portfolios, the top line is a total worth for the portfolio/shares.

Total worth is at the top of the ledger, left is BTC, right is your currency.

I mean a total for the portfolio of all shares combined and a total for the BTC that is not in shares. So one can say "I have x BTC in all of my wallets and my shares are worth x BTC" without having to use a calculator.

I added the FBI's Silk Road seizure address 1FfmbHfnpaZjKFvyi1okTjJJusN455paPH (which is top on the Bitcoin Richlist, containing BTC144,341+) to my address watchlist to see what would happen but it gives the same total balance and the address shows up empty.

So I guess it doesn't display because the balance is too large. I wonder what the maximum displayable value is.

No, you put the address in the name field.

It displays fine for me:

There's an issue right now with watching addresses because blockchain has blocked us from using their API, the blockexplorer is stuck on an old block and has been down for weeks, so we're relying on other services which may not be as reliable.  I am working to get this sorted, but for now, some of the data on watched addresses might not be correct.

I need to put in some error reporting so that issues like you had, with entering wrong data in wrong fields could be caught and an error given.  I hope to find some time to work on things this month, and I have a whole list of updated and bug fixes I want to roll out in the coming weeks.

I'm not earning much from the site, so I have to juggle things and find time to spend on it when I can.  Sorry for taking so long to get to some of these requests and issues, but I want you guys to know I haven't forgotten about anything.  It just takes a while to find time.

I still love MyBitWorth but I really wish it had altcoin support, exchange API support, and UIUD bookmark option (like cryptfolio). There's still no one out there with a 'full' solution of tracking btc, Altcoins and securities, and so I hope the option with the best UI (MBW) does it first. People would love it like they love alienblue, and if you start with dogecoin support in particular, donations would rain down upon from crypto heaven. Just a thought.

Also, viewing MBW on iOS Safari has some quirks:
-Can't delete/edit some entries
-Formatting is bunched together and footer ad looks jumbled

But to reiterate, I fuss because I love.

yeah, I haven't had a chance to work on things, much.  alt coin support is coming, but exchange API will probably be first.

I haven't optimized for iOS, really, at some point I will do that.  I may actually develop an app for that, instead.

But to reiterate, I fuss because I love.
believe me, I want the improvements as much as anyone.  I'm hoping to find some time closer to the end of the month to spend on it and get things up to speed.  I have a whole list of upgrades, and if I can get through even 1/2 of this list, it will be an awesome tool.
