Ok... let me start somewhere about this.

I have my new bitcoin (contactless) mastercard and they are issued by a company in the UK called PSI Pay Ltd. They work perfectly (ATMs, stores, merchants etc) and this gives me the confidence to use the cards for all my bitcoin to fiat transactions. Wave Crest was very good and reputationally reliable. It's a pain to have to say bye to this MyChoice visa card.

I happened to find this site today:

http://www.psi-payscam.com/

Or is this a once-off incident?

I don't know what to think. I don't want to wake up one day and discover the cards stopped working or see a "this domain has been seized" error on this company's homepage.

Why can't one of the regular time-tested brick and mortar banks offer their cards so we can all have some peace of mind!

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Problem is they are the new card issuer of Wirex, Cryptopay etc. These contactless mastercards are issued by Psi Pay Ltd.

So far the cards work well. No issues with stores, online merchants and ATMs. I hope it stays that way. But now my trust is a bit shattered and I might limit amounts I store on these cards, despite their USD 5k per day withdrawal limit.

I don't think it is something that you should worry too much. It's not like if you see a lot of complaints about it. You can find such complaints with every payment processors as well the top reputed banks. I quickly searched on google and found only 1.

This company is authorized by Financial Conduct Authority which is not something everyone can do. And you can imagine that the companies working with them make a deep due diligence.

Is this related to a bitcoin related service in any way? I run a thread with a list of bitcoin debit cards and never heard of PSI before.

Ok... let me start somewhere about this.

I...

I´m not sure what to think of the link you posted.

However, I wouldn´t worry about PSI Pay Ltd. According to the Ecopayz homepage (ecopayz.com) they are
a brand of PSI Pay:
Quote
ecoPayz is a brand name of PSI-Pay Ltd.

PSI-Pay Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (FCA Reference Number 900011) for the issuing of electronic money, and facilitates its' services across the European Economic Area (EEA).

If you haven´t heard of Ecopayz, it´s the 3rd biggest online wallet in Europe for online gambling
(after the brands Skrill and Neteller, which are owned by Paysafe Group). Therefore
I have huge doubts that PSI Pay is indeed a scam.

Nevertheless, I wouldn´t rule out that some of the people involved in running PSI Pay have been
involved in shady business dealings before.

Because BTC is crap. Visa and MC closed the CC exit, now banks are closing the fiat exits.

The game is over.

Now sell

Haha

Haha, what a fool you are.
Maybe you'll figure that out some day.
