In a current market situation I think not long at all. A few months maybe from now. People, who bought alts at the beginning of the year, they need to hold their coins for a quite long period of time. But if you buy now, not longer than a few months.

The bitcoin braked the falling already a little and now 6-7 thousand dollars fluctuate. To sell it to us it is necessary to get profit. When you get profit depends on two things: when you bought it (at what price) and that when it begins the growth. Maybe you decide to be content with a profit of several thousand dollars. And perhaps you want to get 10 thousand profit. In the second case you should wait long enough.

We stick as much as you need, for almost a year already kept and if necessary I'm willing to wait another year. The market is too new to give any logic and the usual types of analysis. But remember what the potential of the cryptocurrency and it ought to reassure you.

After such a dump prices, are too difficult to recover, many people bought btc for too high a price. I think the market should recover by winter.

If You have chosen a good coin/token and if You believe the technology behind it You can hold it for any long . But for this an Investor should only Invest in Crypto what he can afford to loose.

I'm still not sure if in a short time Bitcoin will rise to a high price value.
Bitcoin will take a very long time to recover to its previous value.
I believe that Bitcoin will survive in the Cryptocurrency market, but now Bitcoin must fight hard to recover to a high price again because everything depends on Bitcoin and Bitcoin will dominate the Cryptocurrency market.

This can continue exactly as long as you have a "long" position in the asset and therefore when it is held - indefinitely. At the same time, it is curious that for some assets the price is able to fall even in the negative!

It is best to keep it as long as you do not see yourself gaining more when you sell or trade it. You wouldn't want to lose your money, would you? Let's just be real about the situation. Yes, the prices are unstable so any profit would do. It's still a profit after all.

One get to face the dilemma when the prices are falling down hard, if it were to be greens all through, it would have been another story in its entirety. That said, any person who sets out to hold should know that is a long term investment, a holding ability that should not be paralleld. You hold till you deem fit to sell and when you can maximize the gains. This all should change pretty soon and what holders would face has to be seeing if the price is going to appreciate more. Just brace up and know it's a long term investment, not a short one. Be prepared for the long run.

I don't know how more money that you have to make business in crypto market. If you have enough money you should go for long term holding as a result you may gainer. But if you need urgent money you should not hold it. But be sure that market will rise and we should keep patience for that.

It depends on your expectations if you feel that the price is right for you then you can sell it. But there is another option - you can not wait until you sell anything because there is no danger of suffering.

There is no exact time to wait, it will always depend on you and the price target you want.
Trading your token or selling it will not wait, it is on your choice as always.
If you think the price is right then you can sell it.

I can not give you conviction to what extent you pause. I think everybody here is likewise unfit to know. We are here holding up together, perhaps mid or in the not so distant future the market will return and bitcoin will achieve the most elevated score. So be quiet for somewhat more you accomplish a benefit from your venture to be worth offering. My expectation the more you hold bitcoin, the bitcoin cost will increment.

I don't think how long but  Holding BITCOIN is always best option or at least for this situation it is a good choice to hold the Bitcoin. I would say that BITCOIN will show growth and indeed it has a chance to take its place of the only one digital-currency.

I think it's worth not to sit and wait for sales. It is necessary to analyze the growth of its crypto currency. And just to calculate the forecasts for it. Then you will understand what kind of favorable your time.

If the loss is within tolerable range, I suggest you continue HOLD. Bitcoin seems to be down pretty much now. However, most people still believe that it will soon return, which is likely to be the end of the year. Do not hurry, you will probably have to regret it!
