It is not possible to recover or reset your MyEtherWallet password in any way.
Knowing that now, what else do you wanna ask? If you want to know if it's still possible to access your wallet with just private keys, then the answer is yes. Afaik, MEW does not require a password to access your wallet using the Private Key, you just have to be sure that you're in the right site/correct URL before unlocking it.
Password is required only ro access that account on that desktop but if we have the private key we xan open the same wallet in the another system. All we need to do is go to the official MEW and go to the wallet create option with the private key.

Hello everybody,

Sadly, I have forgotten my password of myetherwallet.
But I still have my public and my private key.
With these elements, is it possible to modify my password?

Thanks.

Kind regards.

I think you only need to keep the private key safe because it is enough to access your wallet. You do not need the password because its purpose was only to create a new wallet which you have been using now.

As long as you have the private key, you are ok as you can still access your account.
Just use the private key in logging in, password is just one way of opening your account.
Therefore if you forgot it and you have a private key, you can still use the private key in accessing your account.

Just be careful on storing your private key, as this is also cannot be changed. careful is the act when it comes to delicate issues like this

for the password mytherwallet you can easily change it, but if the private  key is lost it can harm you because the private key  is the source of your mytherwallet address

I think it is completely okay if you forgot your password because whenever I logged in to my MEW account I just use my private keys instead of my password. Just don’t lose them because that’s your last hope of logging in to your account. I have a friend who deleted a single letter on her private keys and she never got her account back and just created a new one instead.

Actually forgot password is not a problem if we still have its private key because to enter myetherwallet can use private key.Myetherwallet the most important is the private key, if forgot its only json and password, make it a habit to create an account always recorded everything including backups layered in 1- 2 drives.

Password is not a thing to worry about for your etherwallet as long as you already created the account and your private key is safe, you need not panic. Your private key is all you need when you want to access your wallet. Try not to forget your private key as it might be a thing to worry about when mishandled.
