yes you are right you should be careful when you want to invest because the investment has a very high risk as much as possible you are not too much investment and still set aside money or capital that you have, the safest way is to invest in bitcoin and wait until the price it becomes very expensive, with bitcoin which has very good potential because a very limited total supply of bitcoin can make prices very expensive.

the most risky investment in the cryptocurrencies world and everybody who chooses to invest in ICO tokens should be doing it with high amount of caution.when investing in an ICO, you need to make sure that the organizers are well known and have the knowledge to finish the project as planned, because ICO projects tend to fail and most of them won't even complete what they promised.you need to make sure that the market cap is not too  big, because then you won't have enough space to make the profit and it won't worth the risk....

I agree - basically now a lot of even good projects simply can not raise money, or they collect very little - and this is the risk of starting as it is known .. they just can not pull it out ..

So sad that there are some ICOs who are just making money for their own sake. So wait for the right time to invest. If the price is increased sell it. If price down then buy and hold it.

I do agree with you that we should always invest the money which we have extra and we should never put in the money which would be used for any financial use. Investing into ICO projects has turned much risky these days because most of them tends to be fake but the ones who are really legit has a vast profits ahead so thats what makes the most of the investors go for such projects.
Understanding and studying about the project gets much challenging and also if you are able to read and understand the project than you could indeed have some good profits in investing into ICO projects.

Numerous cases of people being scammed by fake ICOs are not already new in this crypto industry. Yes you are right if we want income we will have to take risk, behind every risk there is high amount of profit, so we can reduce the risk only with our care and our investing power try to increase your knowledge and know all about what you are investing your money so trust me you will never get disappointed.

this is why we need to learn before we investing because there are many projects in out there and if we do not learn about their projects, we can get scam and lose the money. besides that, you need to know how much money you want to invest and make sure that the money is free and not use for anything so when something bad it happens, you don't have to be sad.

Everyone should be careful, though some projects really may be trustful. For example, I follow closely SciDex. They are creating a new type of smart contract generator for complex transactions. So that even regular businesses that need legally binding contracts can be on the blockchain. That’s improving the whole blockchain ecosystem, if you ask me.
