One empty 25 btc Casascius for sale. Pricing seems quite difficult, hence the auction format.

I'd say the coin is in excellent condition. There are no scuff marks or scratches.

Hologram has been peeled and the coin emptied by me. The hologram does not come with the coin. I've had the coin since 2012. You can actually see some glue marks on the back of the coin if you look closely.

If you want more pics, feel free to send me a PM.

Starting price 0.4 BTC.
Increments 0.05 BTC

Auction ends 31st March 18:00 UTC.

Coin is located in Finland. Buyer pays for shipping, buyer pays for escrow.

So isn't the price of a loaded 25 cas btc, like 26-27? With the forks it has about 28 BTC worth on it. if you add in say 0.5 btc as the price for the coin peeled I just think it is crazy that its better to peel a coin than to sell it

minus 5 merit for that one...

OP, nice looking coin!  Are you keeping the hologram or do you no longer have it?  Reason I ask is it would definitely add to the value of this auction if the holo was included.

I've kept the coin in a closed coin box for all these years.

Unfortunately I do not have the hologram anymore. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't include it. My real identity can easily be solved so I don't want my bitcoins or trades with bitcoins to be tracked. But that's just an excuse, I got rid of the hologram when I emptied the coin.

Well with what,, 14? 25BTC opened this year, unless you used a mixer I think it would be pretty easy for someone like Quickseller to figure out which one you owned. Maybe a little harder if you opened it last year as there were 82? opened in 2017 But I doubt if you opened it last year and held onto it so long but who knows

The last one like this I can find sold (claimed) for 1.5 BTC back in January 2016 but included peeled holo and opened slab. That was when bitcoin was $400 though. Have to see how the auction goes. Beautiful coin good luck with the sale.

There had to be sales closer than that but maybe not.  Wither way i think 1.5 is a stretch, with btc where it is.

Almost certainly private sales not on the forum. Have to see if anyone bids at 0.4.

Here is one without holo sold for 0.7 BTC although the condition was not as good.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3073418.0

I think 1.5 BTC is a bit excessive for an empty coin Smiley Even back in 2016.

Did you clean the coin or is that the only glue residue that was left from the peal ?

Thank you.

If you happen to win, I'm actually flying to US next week. It should be much easier to ship the coin within US, I guess?
