It's my understanding that the hashrate meter is constantly being revised at ozcoin and it's been rather inaccurate of late. Check the actual number of shares match to confirm there's nothing going astray, or try it on another pool (for at least an hour).

Thanks for the tip, didn't realise that, swapped to Slush' pool now, will report back.

CGMiner 3.8.1 summary output for the above session at Slush's:

The number of shares reported by Slush's stacks up, so I think the earlier issue is Ozcoin's counters as you suggest ckolivas, cheers for the hint. Just to repeat my comments from my earlier post, this is with stock heatsink, no fan, and bus powered (for giggles). High error rate for my taste, but respectable throughput IMO considering the circumstances. I'm most keen to see if I can reduce the HW with sufficient cooling, will report back when I've had time to play properly this weekend.

The latest version of BFGMiner will reduce the HW error rate, but I have found the hash rate dropped from 2.33Gh to 2.31Gh on my sticks

All of the hw errors make me kinda sad.

Same as me, I am getting a lot of HW errors. PXY0 is an ASICminer blade overclocked and has a far less ratio between accepted shares and HW errors.

Forget about the HW errors, What are you getting back from the pool?  That is what matters.

Other the hw errors I am loving these little guys. I switched over to cgminer because bfg was giving me grief. Cgminer works flawlessly!

If we as consumers and hackers-around need to be educated on the parameters of the particular hardware and chips in use, that's a totally separate issue. If that's normal operation for these chips its better to see the real data and have a proper understanding of what it means, which is where experienced comments like yours and support threads like this come in perfectly handy. Just for the avoidance of doubt: My point isn't to cast any blame, it just exploring whether this performance could be improved by the basic environmental factors. Personally, I'm actually pleased with the performance now I've realised my original pool result was at fault. Thanks for your time, comments and coding, by the way.

I experimented down to 0.85, but since I have to leave it run unattended for a few hours now, I'd like to play it safe.

Well... my 10k resistors came in today, switched out the 22k resistor for a 10k on one of my good units.

BFGMiner 3.6.0 - 2.82 GH/s - 0 HW Errors
CGMiner 3.8.0 - 2.51 GH/s

I only let it sit for about 10 minutes on each mining software, so going to let it run for awhile in BFGMiner now.

Before the installation of the resistor this unit was consistently at 2.2GH/s

Hello,

one button is reset ( button near the hole) and the second in for programming.
Reset button is used when you need to reset BF ( you do not need to take it from USB port and back).
The Program button is used when you flash BF. This is described in the first post of this threat

1 ) Download Ubuntu x64 from : http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

2 ) Install on a PC or on a Virtual Machine.

3 ) Once installed Find and Open Terminal by pressing CTRL + ALT + T

4 ) Type the following lines and press enter after each one :

3 ) Plug in your Blue Fury Miner and go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and printers

4 ) Right Click on the Bitfury BF1 Device go to Properties > Hardware > Properties > Change Settings > Driver > Update Driver

6 ) Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

7 ) Select "Have Disk", Browse to the bfgminerWin folder and Select bf1.ini

8 ) Select Install and it will give you a warning that the driver is NOT SIGNED. Press okay.

9 ) Now that the Driver is installed navigate to bfgminerWin > bfgminer32

10 ) Edit the #Mine.bat file in Notepad and change everything after "-O" to your own mining pool information and save.

11 ) Double click #Mine.bat and start mining

Hello everyone.... I just got my 2 new blue furys yesterday and I see after 26 pages here, I'm pretty late to the party-- but I'd appreciate some help...

I've already set up bfgminer on a box with Linux Mint 13 Maya w/XFCE4 and have been mining with a Jalapeno since May...

I've tried the simple ways I've found here to add in my new pieces, but bfgminer is still not finding them.  I've found references to assigning COM ports and whatnot....and I remember having to do something like that to make my machine see my Jalapeno, but now I can't find the threads or instructions I used then, so a little help finding the correct post would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. (I'm slowly making my through these posts, but haven't found the 'magic' one yet.)
