Has mining been taken off the site? I no longer see a yellow notification bar for it, is it just me?
Same here https://mining.freebitco.in/mining.html?userid=XXXX still works though.

I just noticed this. I have the mining site bookmarked so I go there directly to mine. But are we still getting paid for mining?

Same here. I had the mining page bookmarked, and I'm still getting credit for the mining.

As for new captchas, I saw a blockchain based totally new kind of captcha on bitcointalk. It even claims to give good profits to the publishers, i.e. sites who use it. If someone knows about that captcha, then do suggest it here.

I already suggested it a few pages back, but I'll mention it again. This is a captcha that if tuned properly will be beneficial for both users and website owners - it will be easier for the users as they won't have to solve a captcha and will help the owners generate some Monero through mining: Coinhive Captcha.

Basically this captcha works in the following way:

  • The user waits until his device computes a certain number of hashes. The user don't have to solve or do anything, he just should wait a little.
  • Website owners mine some Monero using the computational power of the user. They should tune the required number of hashes properly so that users with slow devices (e.g. smartphones) don't have to wait too much.

I'm totally against usage of Coinhive proof of work captcha. I think that many users wouldn't like if their device CPU would be used for Monero mining. Many of faucet users have old PC, laptop or smartphone, so even small number of required hashes could have some impact to their devices - it becomes slower at that moment and it's temperature increase.

For every item there are two buttons, "redeem" and "link", what happens when you click "link" under rewards?

Clicking "link" brings you to the online store where the item is sold. It shows you what the actual item is that you will receive if you click "redeem"

For those of you who had the mining option available, but noticed that the "Mining" menu has disappeared...you can still mine, here's how:

From the Free BTC menu you should see a notice that reads Use your browser to passively mine and earn bitcoins! It has a Click here to read more hot link.

The hot link is active, if you click on it the CPU mining screen will open and allow you to mine.

There's a few reasons why the mining menu tab is gone, but it's temporary and we're working through. Remember...this is what beta testing is for!

Get back at the mining if you so choose. I want to hear your feedback, PM with the subject "Mining Feedback".

Thanks.
Myfe.

This is a great addition to the website. Though it seems that there will be so many questions with regarding the operation of this feature, I still think this is a great way to add some satoshis to my account. I hope this feature will be available to my account anytime soon.

Actually it's not 1 BTC, but $200 from the free rolls. Although you can win 1 btc from the high-low bets, jackpots and lotteries.

I think it was supposed to happen if you rolled 10'000, that is 1 chance out of 10'000 (actually 10'001) total possibilities, you'de hell of a lucky dude if you rolled it every hour!
