Hi there, I'm looking for a bit of scrap gold, and potentially some platinum for a side project I'm working on, if anyone wants to trade some for BTC, LTC, ETH, etc. What I'm looking for is 10-24kt yellow gold. I may be interested in white gold as well, but I don't have the proper gear to rhodium plate it, so its not as appealing to me. Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium are also somewhat appealing, so I'll throw the offer out there as well. What I'm looking for are things like, tangled chains, broken pieces, and things with bad memories attached  Cry . I may buy stones as well if I can verify them fairly easily, but for the most part, I'm just after the metal.

I'm offering ~80% melt value, typically around 5-13% more than typical scrap gold buyers, as I do my own refining, but I am open to negotiation.

Just a forewarning, I will not accept anything sketchy, regardless of what sort of deal you offer me. Please do not try to sell me anything stolen, fake, plated, or gold filled. Its a pain to chemically separate gold plating, and its more effort than its worth. I've got chemical and ultrasound testing supplies, and it becomes pretty obvious if gold isn't gold when you melt it down.

I'm located in the US, so I'm not sure how well international shipping would work, but we can figure that out together if interested.

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to ask.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Another absolute shot in the dark here, but I'm also looking for iridium if anyone just so happens to have any laying around.

Well I do work with silver, but I'm mostly looking for broken or damaged things to avoid paying bullion premiums since I do my own refining anyway. I very may well pay premiums on hard to find exotics like Rhodium, Ruthenium, and Osmium, or annoying to alloy metals like Palladium Gold.

Ah gotcha, I used to sell jewelry back in the day so I used to have a bunch of stuff around. I ended up selling most of it though, however I'll look around to see if I have anything else that I'd be willing to sell at low prices. I do know that I have a few silver rings that I'd be willing to sell at less than spot if you did end up having any interest in silver items. I almost considered putting a few of them up here on Bitcointalk but figured there wouldn't be much interest for them.

Anyhow, I'll definitely pass on the word to my friends about what you're looking for as some of them are still selling jewelry. Will let you know if I come across anything that I think is worthwhile to you Smiley

I may be interested!

I have a small damaged gold ring, silver tie-pin and a silver bangle.
I also have some coins with varying amounts of silver from 40% to 90% [ i think ]  if you are interested.

I have 26+- grams of gold scrap jewelry,Dental gold for grabs. I melted down the Dental gold into a blob. I'm sure it will have to be refined. I can ship it to you and after your done refining it you can give me a price on it. The jewelry is various K 10,14

*Edit* Or i'll take silver in trade.

Sorry, I had forgot that I started this topic, so I wasn't checking it. I've found that starting with bullion grade fine metals and then alloying from there is far easier than starting from scrap, refining, and then alloying. There are some trace contaminants that can make the metal near unworkable, and at this point in time, its more cost effective for me to not have to troubleshoot mystery alloys.
