I think its perfect timing fo all tekcoin supporters to switch from mining the tekcoin directly but to point their THs to the incoming Multipool that will support the buying power at the Exchanges!

I somewhat disagree. The coin is hybrid Pos/Pow. It needs both to work correctly, so there needs to be direct mining still. Plus, there's going to be more and more SHA256 miners coming online in the alt coin world as bitcoin difficulty continues to go psychotic. Tek is a great alternative to mine.

If anything, we need more pools for direct mining. I too support the multipool idea, and will definitely contribute some small amount of bitcoin to the bounty. Small because I'm broke
I know the guys who run Telsapool, and they are a good choice. Some of them participated in the fix of the recent troubles and are probably helping to fix the fix.

Yes I think you are right about sha256 miners. But I hope for new powerfull Scrypt and Scrypt-N mining hardware rolling in.
If you know Tesla people then we can ask them for tekcoin address and BTC address for the bounty// or Thundertoe can ask them for it //as he had some talks with Tesla team about the multipool already and I trust him if he gives as addresses...
Where we can track the amount of tek on that address?? Is there any correct TEK Blockexplorer online?

Yes there a pool's what are running and work on the correct blockchain, but tehy not listed! Only some pools, what not work or wrong.
So, update the Tekcoin official Pool's page and all will be fine.

I would add to this that it has historically been pretty accurate, up until the hole that nobody knew about hosed the coin. Once the fix was made, the steady progression of stakes had been interrupted and a whole swarm of stake ready wallets hit the network all at once. There were a number of unforseen problems with this, most of which were FAR more troublesome than the nvcs adjustment. Besides, it's likely to return to normal levels *IF* we all use coin control to spread out our blocks. Consider it incentive to not be lazy.

I will tell you all the issue. It is simple.

The base difficulty was lowered as part of the fix.  

This allows/causes a few things.
1) Easier/lower CPU intensive staking
2) Easier chance of attacking with PoS
3) Lower stake reward, as now the starting point of the reward calc is much lower (see here): https://github.com/maxxine/TEK/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L992-L1006

The chance of this going back to this difficulty are low, therefor the chance of getting the full reward (500%) are also low..

This can not be changed again without a hard fork.

Yup. Missed that post. But the question really is what was the underlying reason for this change. It didn't need to be changed to fix the stuck PoS block. It was extra on top of the other code that was changed.

Well, as I mentioned before, I'm willing to set up a testnet. Only problem being that I don't know how I do have a good amount of reference for the bitcoin testnet, though.

If I'm understanding presstab and Tranz correctly, then fixing that one line of code, or I suppose more properly stated, restoring that one line of code will fix the problem with lower than usual staking. Also, again if My understanding is correct, that one change will NOT allow the out of time block that caused the whole mess in the beginning to recur. So it seems to me that fixing that, and hardforking it again once it's tested, is a pretty decent idea.

I'm willing to help in whatever way I can. Last round I was pretty much the dev team's guinea pig, which I'm ok with, and I handled a lot of the communication. I had fun, though external things caused a lot of tension for me. Those things are about to be cleared up, so that is as it is.

And on that note, I'm going to be on the road starting tomorrow for several days. I may be up to a week with little or no communication. I'm moving rather far from where I am (Idaho). I've been asked to help with the community takeover of Zimstake, which is going to be renamed, and I said I'd do it. Doesn't stop me from working on my favorite coin Just going to be out of the loop for a few days.

That was probably me.  When I got up my two S1's were mining at my backup BTC Guild.  Poolparty frontend network hashrate meter was at zero.  Pretty sure the Pool meter was at zero, too.  It was early, however, I could have been hallucinating

Just downloaded the updated wallet from the Tekcoin website and its using 20% of my cpu power?

Im running an i7 3.5GHz, 32GB RAM on Windows 7 so 20% of CPU being used on a wallet is VERY strange?

The new wallet won't synch, is unresponsive, it doesn't crash but hangs for a few minutes at a time?

WTF is going on? New wallet looks pretty but id rather keep the old look and have a wallet that actually works

I read about 4 pages back from here but couldn't see anyone having the same issue with the new wallet, any help appreciated

Interest rate went "broke" because too many matured coins started staking at around the same time which caused PoS difficulty to rise in order to compensate for a flood of new
blocks and that caused PoS reward to decrease. Nothing to fix there. If you want more PoS reward do not stake your matured coins while PoS difficulty is high, as simple as that.

I've done a "-reindex" twice and it seems stuck at 514993 even though I am finding valid blocks.

Even when it was at 20 it still did the same.  It's limited to 3 now to save RAM.
I've decided to backup wallet.dat and start with a new block chain.  Lets see what happens...

Both. The stick is unstuck, but there likely needs to be another fix to restore the proper staking percentage. The patient survived, but the stitches still need removed, and a bit of prosthesis perhaps.

My wallet working well straight after downloading and installation. Even without editing of .conf file. 40 coins already accepted by this wallet in two transactions.

For a reference, here are values for PoS rewards based on PoS difficulties earlier today. All 12 staked piles were exactly 500 TEK each and were 2 months old, few minutes
apart. In total, 6,000 TEK staked to 9,985.745197 TEK = 60% gain



I was not patient enough though, not so long after staking was over PoS difficulty dropped even lower, down to 0.000084    How low can it go, is there a bottom? If not,
did TEK turned into the bottomless pit mentioned in Bible? If I stake while PoS difficulty is at bottomless pit will demons start jumping out of my computer? Are we doomed?
