Some of the key features of Verasity’s blockchain technologies are: Verasity High-Performance Blockchain, VERA Transactions, Proof of View (patent pending) and DPoS. All of the videos run off of VeraPlayer, which is a blockchain enabled video player that allows users to view content securely from many mobile and desktop devices without the need to install additional software. Verasity has partnered with Akamai, a leading global content distribution network. This enables Verasity to deliver over 8 PetaBytes of video data per month, allowing them to scale quickly. If Verasity continues to deliver on the benchmarks outlined on their roadmap, they could quickly become a major player in this highly competitive field.

    Although Verasity is unique with their own blockchain and PoV, it still has competition such as Steem, Basic Attention Token, Props, and Flixxo. -1.25

I think there's nothing to help love ads for fans of watching videos, without a doubt this is a bonus, but people want online views without ads

On Verasity it's up to the Creator and Viewer what they choose to do. Creators can set their videos as free to watch with optional donations, pay-per-view, paid subscriptions etc. Likewise, Viewers choose whether they want to watch adverts or not.

On 7th February 2018, we filed a United States provisional patent application for Proof-of-View (Application Number 62627285).

Verasity is using an ERC-20 token as a placeholder for the actual Vera coin, which is still in development. The company will release its own blockchain using a delegated proof of stake consensus. The Vera coin will be released at the end of 2018, along with both desktop and web-based wallets, and will directly replace the ERC-20 tokens. It does not mention any listing on public exchanges.
The company provides little information about its initial private sale; neither its website nor any of its published papers mention the start date, discounts, or amount being sold, but it is certain that it will end on April 30, 2018. An open pre-sale will run through May, and then the full ICO will run during June.
A total of 12,491,500,000 ERC-20 tokens will be created; 12% will be sold during the pre-sale for $0.00750 apiece, and 10% will be sold during the public sale for $0.001. Investors participating in either sale must spend between $1,000 and $50,000, and the sale is closed to buyers from the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and a few other countries.

Just want to make sure whether unsold tokens will be burned? because we know for now it is very difficult for ICO to reach hardcap
