That's a wonderful idea, and I can't think of anything better. The only losers from this will be bots claiming exactly once per hour. I'm sure all legitimate users will be happy about the new model. Please implement it as soon as possible.

Bots are dumb but people are smart which means those who use bots would only need to set their bots to claim it once every X hours to accomodate with the changes if needed  

Nope. That won't help them to benefit from the new system, compared to normal users.

@TheQuin was mentioning "Moon faucets" as a model to follow. Those faucets weren't giving you 200% of the base reward if you waited 2 hours instead of 1. Rather, it was something close to 180% after 2 hours, 250% after 3 hours and so on. So, if the new system were implemented, the bot users should not be changing anything, because claiming exactly once per hour would still be the best option. BUT, due to reduction of the minimum reward, say, by 50%, the bot users would be getting 2 times less than previously within, say , 24 hours, while users who claim once in 2-3 hours would be getting approximately the same amount as before.

You would get a display counting up from 0.01 Sats and you can only roll when it becomes greater than 1.00 Sats. If it was 2.63 and you rolled you would get 2 and the counter would start at 0.63 for the next roll.
The Free BTC bonus for Reward Points would make the timer go x% faster.

Honestly? I've been wanting to see this FREE BTC claiming mechanic implemented here ever since I came across the moon faucets, guns blazing with the percentage bonuses and such. Having a dynamic system like this is going to be much more rewarding for people who dont claim all that often as opposed to a fixed-rate determined by whatever price BTC is trading at. Though I'm not sure how we are going to keep the chances of rolling the $20 or $200 prizes still intact with this kind of system. I don't feel like getting rid of the higher prizes is a good idea either, because that has always been a staple of FB.

It is a problem because its not going to appear tangible or of tradable worth to anyone, not if the concept of less then 1 Bitcoin took years for people to realise you dont need an entire coin to really use it.  Less then 1 satoshi is going to have the appearance of pocket fluff, I dont think its advisable to go this route when a gambling risk route can account for value adjustment and make it more fun for people to be involved with the site.

Then you are one of the few lucky people who manage to get referals that actually still continue claiming the faucet every hour..every day. I think the actual norm is for people to signup and claim for a few days and then stop doing it. People start doing this... thinking that the few Satoshi that they are claiming is actually worth something. When they realize that it is actually not even 1 cent.. they quickly stop doing it.

I had 100s of referrals and all of them stopped using the faucet within a week.    You might get lucky to get someone that deposits frequently and gamble a lot... but that rarely happens.
