You are correct, but personally, i am assuming that before a tournament is open is open to the public to bet on, there us usually a certain amount of odd the casino divide between the two teams equally, then from there, the betting starts.

Freebitco is using parimutuel betting system and the house has no role in determining the odds. The odds are determined by the users and it's not that the house increase/decrease the odds.  
The odds depend on the total money that has been bet on each of outcomes and the time weight multiplier. Note that there is no way to calculate the odds before betting is closed and that's why the odds shown in the website are just estimations.

Yes, I have also noticed this. The odds at Freebitco keep on changing even before the start of the match and that's why we also see the odds at all other sports betting sites before the start of the match is different as compared to the odds offered by Freebitco.

@piebeyb as we get closer to this match I can’t control my excitement, because of Messi and Mbappe as these two both deserve to taste victory but only one of them will win and I’m favouring Mbappe’s France to win. I tried to look up this site on google to find some more information but couldn't really find anything. The concept is definitely unique and interesting and makes it worth exploring more. There is also a point of what the odds are when I am gambling over who I think will win. France looks like they could possibly be the winners, but I see odds for Argentina to be a lot better in my mind, I see them as deserving of that much chance and that is why I wagered on them, even though I believed France could win.

France has a weaker defence, which means Messi could dissect that team and end up winning, sure France also has a better attack too, so it could be a game with plenty of goals if all goes like it has been so far. In a perfect world we would watch both messi and mbappe both having a hattrick, and whoever has another teammate scoring would win it, that would be fun to watch.

Fake news as it turns out, and I'm sure even if true none of the affected players would ever have admitted it for fear of omission heh. Was completely unaware of this flu bug going around there until I read about this. Pretty sure it's all climate adjustments playing a part.
