You're right, this is purely speculation. But it's kind of hard to believe that the original owner who put years into this site would just let it die like this.
I'm more inclined to believe he sold it for a profit and retired. But again, all of this is just speculation.

The original owner is most probably a millionaire now and already step down due to unknown reason or due to legal issues related to tax on his business here.

The website has existed for a long time but owner hasn't been inactive. The owner created 2-3 casinos that were focused on Fun token. One platform was 1xfun.bet which was focused on decentralized betting but it doesn't exist anymore. Btw the rest of Freebitco's two casinos that are active today are - dplay.casino and clubriches.com
If you message both of these casinos via live chat, they'll tell you that they are only partners of freebitco but I think that they are lying. At least, you can read on dplay.casino's footer that it's operated by FBC B.V, which is the company that also operates Freebitco.in
Wetsuit left Freebitco the way it was like Stunna left primedice and instead created a Stake.com. I think that wetsuit's strategy was to keep Freebitco with its old design and functions but created another casino with lots of games and features. I don't know why he doesn't promote Dplay and Club Riches. Everything around Freebitco, wetsuit and TheQuin is strange and hard to explain.

Been starting to receive them several times a day but receiving these few a day still do not makeup for nearly 6 months of not getting the 13 freespins per day that was due since holding the 250,000 FUN tokens that were coming in everyday but suddenly stopped.

This is the entity that has received legal notices from the Netherlands and Australian governments. After they received a formal warning from the Australian government, Freebitco.in started blocking Australian IPs.

A token with zero utility and paired against bitcoin will and always suffer loss in value as long as demand for bitcoin keeps rising and demand for the token isn't rising to match that of bitcoin.

And speaking Fun token trend to 0 being unstoppable, I would say that the only thing  I see as a good reason why the token seems to still be doing well is because it's still listed on Binance.
If for whatever reason, Binance announces delisting and fun token is among the token selected to be delisted, the price will run down to 0 bitcoin sats in a matter of minutes.
Holding Fun right now is very risky (my personal opinion though)

It makes every sense to sell them now, for 2 reasons:

1 - The future trend is downwards, FUN will be completely worthless given enough time
2 - With how the site is going, its possible a day will come where none of us can access our funds anymore, Bitcoin and FUN.

To risky to do it especially that they have those known troubles exist and its publicly known that everything still questionable especially that people don't know if they can see this casino to exist for more long year or it will just collapsed soon. I would chose the option 2 IMO. As far as i gathered, FUN is tied to FBC and the "crew" around it. So if those projects are failing, FUN will fail as well.
Bitcoin on the other hand will hopefully grow and grow. So should be a no brainer, atleast from my POV

If BTC goes to a million dollars then its 1 satoshi for the price but is that the loss it appears nominally as overall you still have gained.    From what I can make out over the last year the value in dollars or similar is flat, what was the Satoshi price a year ago I forget.

Yep, according to the legal notice, Freebitco is indeed owned and operated by FBC B.V. Also, it was mentioned in their terms and at the footer of the website (which you have pointed out above). TheQuin didn't provide any evidences with his statement during that time. I couldn't find any connection between Freebitco with FB Coins Limited. And I have doubts about the claim of TheQuin now.
