I think, thousands of people are feeling very bad right now because the scammer site that FreeBitco.in has unfortunately become is not paying out to anyone. Shame on them. I hope they will not only lose their reputation an bitcointalk, but much much more. Even if they, previous owners, sold FreeBitco.in to some scammers, they are responsible too. Shame on them, again.

So basically they just run fictional lottery with no real benefits for the winners. I can imagine disappointment of some unsuspecting "lucky" lottery winer when he realizes he will get stuck in endless waiting for withdrawal of his funds.

To be honest I thought things will get better after I heard that they extended the domain, because it is proof that someone is actively doing something for this website. But it seems that they just want people to deposit and take their funds by blocking withdrawals.

This is if there are even still any real players of the lottery and a real winner as well, I am personally assuming that they are going to be inflating numbers, faking winners and so one just to ensure that those who might be visiting the casino for the first time or those who must have been away for a very long time and coming back now think that every thing is still alright with the casino and make deposits to them.

I personally feel it's been a very long time since freebitco started cheating the users but many of us weren't actually paying attention, since I start coming to this forum, I've never seen any one from this forum who claim to have won any of the ten positions from the weekly lottery, same goes for the lambo draw as well, no one from this forum has ever won it, and even out this forum, I've never come across anyone who claim to have won such a prize from freebitco through post on other social media platforms like X and others..

Yes that's exactly what was I talking about, the balance on freebitco.in shows the winnings but they can't be withdrawn...

I hope you'll manage to withdraw your winnings somehow and I wish that I could have some advice but I really don't know what I would you in your situation. Maybe contacting customer support would help you, but as I read other users experiences, it's long shot.

I contacted namecheap but I don't have the sensation they'll do something.
Someone else on the forum contacted binance but I don't think they will do much.
Perhaps they'll ask freebitco.in for a portion of the profit

I will be damned if Namecheap put down that domain. I have made reports about blunt scams in the past to namecheap to which they never did anything at all nor make any update to me at all. I have also seen some members experience the same.
Maybe mass reporting can work? Let's wait and see.

They won't; it could result in a lot of legal issues for them. They will only take down domains if they are ordered to by courts. Even a police order would be ignored since it's not a legal requirement to them. So unless someone gets their local court system to have a judge sign an order requiring concession of the domain, it's not happening. I believe they would just reach out to the legal department of the domain in that case and ask if they want to fight it in court, and if so, it would go that route before being taken offline. Long story short: someone needs their judge to order Namecheap to do something in order for them to do so, and it'll take a while even after that happens due to all the red tape around things like this.

As far as I know Namecheap is domain registrar, and I'm not sure how reporting freebitco.in to them can help someone to with withdrawal of their funds.

They can in best case suspend the domain, if they accept the proofs from the users. As for Binance I don't know how they can help in any way...

All of this began in late 2023, when we all were busy discussing how the halving in 2024 will be and how much bitcoin could reach, freebitco site started experiencing several issue remarkably after wetsuit and the other dude who were representatives of the casino here on this forum disappeared into thin air...

I remember I personally and vividly joined those who were advising users to withdraw their money from the site, this was the time I myself withdrew my entire balance on the site and have never deposited a dime again on the site,
Thing is, people don't listen, an this is why things that happen before, keep happening again..

They are still online and accepting deposits.
Clear a scam, with no reasons to be trusted anymore.
I am still surprised of the mess they did... but probably some of early adopters or famous services of early times care just about "the economic gain" and not about the revolution introduced by Bitcoin.

Ah so many memories was involved with freebitco.in for me. It saddens me that to hear the rumours about them not paying out. I was with them for many years since the bitcoin was 1000 per usd. It would be awesome if the companies like them would still be operational. So many others have ceased to work.

I agree with you, this is not a classical exit scam. This circus started a long time ago, and somehow they are still here... "partially" working. How much longer is this going to last? I guess most people are just waiting for the site to shut down, and there's a good chance that will happen at some point. But it wouldn't surprise me if this whole thing goes in a different direction.

Since we have been in the dark from the start, we will just keep speculating & watching how things play out...

That's not something new. I have seen that banner many times.
They give extra reward points, WOF spins and golden tickets for wagering a certain amount in a 6 hour period.

Of course, all those rewards are worthless, because withdrawals are not working.

Hi everyone, I've only just registered! I've been using FreeBitco.in for a long time, even back when the faucet's lowest prize was like 20 satoshi or so.

So, I encountered this thread back when FreeBitco.in was having downtimes. Today I visited because the captcha seems to be malfunctioning, but also caught up by reading the last few pages.

If I understand correctly, that casino is not processing withdrawals anymore? Fortunately, I never deposited any cash, always worked with the free roll, wheel spins, betting, and multiply BTC (very rarely now, after losing a fair sum  ).

One can basically deposit real money there and never see it again? Is that even legal?

Are there any (trustworthy) websites similar to FreeBitco.in one can move to? (Similar in the sense of having e.g. the free faucet.)
