And I am actually wondering how we are going to achieve finding out who the true owners of this casino is or are, are there any type of software with which such can be achieved?
Because if truly we could find out who the true owners of the casino is and collectively take legal action against them, maybe those who lost money or their funds are currently held hostage on the site will be able to get it back.

I don't know, I imagine that those who currently run the site will have covered their backs.

Till date, I still get notifications from this site through chrome notification service telling me I have some special bonus on that site that can be claimed by me depositing, I sense they are trying to lure me into depositing money which I may never be able to withdraw again.

See, that's what is happening. They have a huge customer base. However, even if only a small percentage of those who receive these emails are unaware of what is happening and decide to make a deposit based on the supposed offer, they can still continue running their scam.

NOBDDY KNOWS THE OWNER or even the place of residence. Some fake names are useless, incl. fake emails. I´m going to file legal complaint to The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). - EVERYBODY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM SHOULD.

I'd like to wright a complaint, but I don't know is it an option for everybody, or only for US citizens.
I think the site, FreeBitco.in, should be shut down as soon as possible, because it's very popular and I'm sure some people still deposit their money on the site not knowing that they will hardly be able to withdraw any in the future.

I will post here because freebitco and funtoken are linked.

Looks like funtoken was acquired by Indians and turned into a generic scamcoin. Since august 2025, the FunToken team locked their Telegram to community comments and stopped engaging with people on Twitter - both platforms are now only used for spamming their staking promotion. There is no more talk about revolutionizing gaming or making products, their roadmap for 2025 is totally missed and no longer addressed. They only talk about staking their coin.
Also, you cannot contact them via their website anymore. If you use their web form, you get "Something went wrong. Please try again later."

So yes, both funtoken and freebitco stopped working seriously at the same time.

Exactly and it is a simple thing to do if really they want to come back again. This mess can only be resolved quickly by the original owner because the new owner might not have that capacity to do that. And I don't think this people will come back because they have already muted/ignored the forum and only focusing on other sides and sites to do the same.

My opinion is no, they are not going to return and restore the project's good name.  All their actions, not just those of the last 3-6 months but much earlier, were designed to cover their tracks as much as possible. The question is: would an honest casino “cover its tracks” if it had a clean reputation and no plans to engage in fraud? In my opinion, no, an honest casino would not do such a thing!

And then there is complete “silence on the air” when the site is behaving strangely. Honest players would actually open up the topic and say, “Guys, we have problems. We will probably solve them, but we can't guarantee anything yet. Don't top up your accounts, as there is no guarantee that you will get your money back.” But they didn't do that either.

Conclusion: if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck!

For those who have been on this forum for more than 5 years and have seen many scam sites that have appeared here, and for those who have been on the internet since 2012 and saw how, in those years, pay-to-click (PTC) and high-risk (HIYP) sites deceived and stole money from people, they know what the main red flag was and why people immediately stopped using the site. But I am very, very shocked that in the case of this site, even though some people warned months ago that the site had become a scam, people continued to deposit money into the site, even seeing the obvious. Honestly, I wonder what level of denial many people had in this case.

FuntToken has its (probably ex) team information publicly available: https://cryptorank.io/price/funfair/team
Some of them have linkedin profiles posted, so if anyone has linkedin, they can try to ask them what happened.

As the saying goes, “hope for a miracle dies last.” I have also repeatedly observed frankly strange behavior in people in similar situations. But they believe until the very end that their money will be returned. Moreover, I do not rule out that now, deliberately, winnings have become more frequent in order to play on people's feelings. And all this is planned, purposeful fraud!

If the price of Bitcoin fell enough it could mean it makes sense to undo any harm done prior as the growth would outweigh the cost to pay for that.   This is presuming the website name and domain have a worth and so to the traffic, all ongoing viable revenue being wasted is at some point why that scenario could be viable even if improbable.
Also Im not expecting Bitcoin to fall far below the 200 week average so I guess it wouldn't be cheap enough to revitalize the operation etc.

This is cope and delusion I'm afraid. The site has almost certainly been sold to Indian scammers, it doesn't matter if Bitcoin drops to $100, everybodies funds are gone, there is absolutely no scenario where these fucks will ever return any money. They don't have care reputation damage, they care about squeezing every last penny out of the site for as long as they can.

FuntToken has its (probably ex) team information publicly available: https://cryptorank.io/price/funfair/team
Some of them have linkedin profiles posted, so if anyone has linkedin, they can try to ask them what happened.
Doesn't seem like they care or care about their reputation because if they did, they would have at least post out any update or posted about what is going on and how they plan to resolve the mess.

I honestly don't know when some people will eventually realize that the Freebitco.in case is one that is done... Just prepare to move on or take legal action if you can.

Never say never!  Nobody who's made this many enemies can hide forever.  Someone will track them down eventually, and even if we don't get our money back we can at least get revenge.

You are right, they do have their own page on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/funtoken/
In the Employees section – https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/12/11/UTyU35.png - you can come across a person from India listed as Software Developer @Funtoken⚡| x-TCS | Python | DSA & System Design(LLD, HLD)| AWS | DevOps. Most likely, this is the same wetsuit - https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/12/11/UTyaBz.png
In his LinkedIn settings, he disabled his profile from being shown to all users, thereby hiding his first and last name, but his photo is available in 100×100 px resolution – https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/12/11/UTy2Zd.jpeg
Can anyone enlarge this photo and find his real information?

^^ Finding the owners won't really help. This site is gone and the good old days of claiming the faucet, receiving daily interests and referral commissions on freebitco.in are long gone. Even if you managed to find anybody linked to the shittoken they had created and were selling, they won't help you since they've sold the site to another party who is now squeezing any satoshis they can out of people who don't yet know they shouldn't deposit any longer...

Hard to track the real owner its because they didn't disclose their identity when they launch this site, So must provably that they cannot find those people.

Good old days has gone with freebitco.in since they didn't manage to maintain their reputation and now many people facing issues. Many people don't trust their site now and I believe they provably struggle to fix the messed they created. There are rumors about that selling but until now no one can prove that it really happens. So best for people not to deposit some satoshi's here to avoid getting same issues with other people here.

Finding the initial owner(s) of this site can make it very easy locating the current owner of the site, whom I believe is the mastermind to the state which this site currently is at the moment..
If through any means, the current owner of the site can be located, then we have nothing looking for the previous owners because obvious, the site turning to scam have little to nothing to do with the previous owner(s).

But it's rather unfortunate that we may simply end up ranting here without ever achieving any thing positive about locating the owner of the site, then I think the most effective thing we can do is spread the news about how freebitco.in have turned into a scam site, this definitely will help spread awareness and we never can tell how many people this information will help and save from falling victim.

If this message that I just saw on the site just now, is true, I confess that I am very, very surprised.... I don't know if any of them will come here to leave something.
#:
I also believe that, in order to have avoided this, they could only finish the faucet and keep the deposits and the bets and games, for sure, they would continue to do well with their registered user base who like games, and they could very well have evolved into this area, without losing credibility as they did.

#2:

    FreeBitco.in is shutting down

Dear user, after more than 12 years in operation FreeBitco.in has made the difficult decision to shut down because of widespread abuse across the website.

If you are a genuine user, please do not worry - your funds are safe. We are currently in the process of sifting through genuine users and abusers which is taking much longer than expected because of our tens of millions of users.

As a part of this process, the website will be replaced by a shutdown page in the coming weeks and after that we shall start the process of migating genuine users to the new shutdown database where they will be able to login and initiate withdrawals of their balances.

We expect withdrawals to be enabled by early 2026. Unfortunately due to the tedious process of weeding through our large database, this is much longer than we are happy with but we have little choice other than going through each user account manually to seperate genuine users and abusers.

We would like to thank you for being a loyal user of our website and would like to ask for your patience while we work through this process.

**Please do not send any funds to your deposit address! Any funds sent after this point might need to be manually credited after the shutdown is complete which might take a while!

Interesting that this shutting down message came just after the name of Vinod Murugan was posted here. Maybe investigating in this case is not that useless than some people thought.

Interesting that this shutting down message came just after the name of Vinod Murugan was posted here. Maybe investigating in this case is not that useless than some people thought.

They had many, many months ago to post that message, return all the money to the people, and shut down the site, but they didn't because they probably thought people wouldn't be able to obtain any relevant information about the whereabouts of the site owner or at least who he might be. Now, with this information surfacing, they're posting this message on the site and, to buy time to get money to pay people, they say it will be a slow process but that they predict they will enable withdrawals in early 2026. Honestly, it's very obvious these guys had no intention of paying and shutting down the site so soon, but because people are getting close to them, they're now starting to fear being caught and arrested.
