Why do you said that it is not legit? Many people already start up with this thing as i know, because this is the oldest faucet site ever and they never have any problem with provably fair thing. All they need is to give you guys good amount of faucet to be claimed. They give free money and you said that it is not legit?

I think you didn't read the OP post clearly because OP is talking about their lottery system and not the faucet amount. Everyone knows that they are legit in paying faucet amount on time but no one knows about the process of picking the lottery winner, and that's why OP is asking the question. I too feel that they are not legit only in this lottery portion unless they tell us the process and we can verify it.

It's long time debated here and OP doesn't clarifies yet on how they pick the winner on their lottery thats why many people got confused and feel that they are not legit for operating that feature so if both of you doubting for their lottery result well might better if we just avoid it since surely we will get more annoyed if we still don't like the result when the loterry will roll unto them.

Indeed, it will always be a debatable topic as some people may support freebitcoin and some others may judge freebitcoin because of the lottery system. The best for users who doubt about the lottery "dont play it with your money, play it for free only".

Thats why dev should give some proper clarification to this issue so that they will not be bash by their critics. And i think those people who supports freebitco.in is those people who got a benifits thru the faucet referrals and not in gambling itself so let them do that since we are on free world but as we've discussed here they should fix and tell more info about on how is their lottery works and select those lucky winners.

I agree, and probably they will provide us with that information sooner or later, but for now I wouldn't recommend using their lottery and their HI/LO multiplier.

However, they are still one of the very best faucets in the world. And many people, including me, believe they are 100% legit in that regard.

Probably it isn't economically feasible. Being able to get free bitcoins every 30 minutes would mean the owner would have two pay twice as often, i.e. twice the expenses (unless the payout is simultaneously decreased, but I do not think we want that). I recommend just doing something else in the meantime. If you want to get bitcoins there are other things that will earn you a lot more, like freelancing for example (provided you possess some kind of skill people are prepared to pay for).

From your comment, it is obvious you do not know when a carrot is being dangled before you as a snare! Where is the free money, is it the  about 200 satoshi they give every hour? That is actually less than 1 cent, now compare that to what you stand to lose with rolls that are not provably fair. I tell you what, after gathering your faucets here for days, you must likely hand it over before leaving the site - that is the catch.

I also doubt their lottery system, though I am not sure. But also I think it is not 100% scam. I heard from many known persons that they won. But personally haven't experienced it, so cannot judge it fully.

... if someone can figure out a way to implement a provably fair lottery with a variable number of tickets given out each round, I would be happy to implement it. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to do it myself.

Maybe you should use some third-party intermediary for generating random user IDs for the lottery? For example, there is  "Audited Lotteries and Sweepstakes" option in random.org. https://www.random.org/guides/draws/

That would not help make the lottery more fair as I can always insert user id's of accounts created by me to the list. Also, that option does not allow for a user having multiple tickets. Thirdly, I have to trust that random.org will generate the numbers fairly and not manipulate the results.

Also, as far as I can see, the results will not be public and people will need access to the random.org account to verify the winning numbers.

I wonder how this "legend" site have started. It may sound silly but when I am new to bitcoin, (that means about a year ago), I got addicted to freebitco.in . The simplicity of the site, is best for newbies/beginners. Although, it may also be the reason why a newbie would turn out to be a gambler.(self-experience).

This site is really pretty addicted when you are on low rank on bct, this site is really hekpful for every newbie to earn some cash or may be if they are lucky enough they will need to get 10000 or may be win some lucky lottery to earn better. This site is not really bad even for experience people but sometimes gambler always want to get more and more that is why this site always not suitable for them

Even for newbie this site is useless as they are paying the lowest pay in faucet and their lottery system is fully manipulated and all new ids are getting winners which are most of them of site owners. Dice gambling is also very waste as their house edge is the highest

The only thing that will make you earn in this site is having many referrals that is active, but doing the faucet thing and the dice, oh come on, their house edge is way too high than all dice sites, except pocketdice.io.

Yeah, this is faucet site from the start but I think nowadays their dice games is pretty well known now and seems that many people are playing on their dice sites too to earn some lottery ticket, so I dont really think that they have bad influences on their dice games. Who said that faucet is a profitable thing to do? Freebitco.in take a knock, but they do not go down. They start a Lottery system that are not provably fair and this helps to fund the loss in advertisement income. < this cannot be proven >

They now realized that the Lottery system is "controversial" and want to get rid of that, so they started a new income model. < cloud mining, funded by user deposits >

This owner is brilliant in quickly adapting to changes in the environment and this makes him successful. < Always being one step ahead of the challenges >

Is this legal and transparent? Probably not, but it cannot be proven, so they get away with it. ^hmmmmm^

I will suggest not to store huge amount of bitcoin in their wallet for investment because it is quite risky to store your bitcoin online in wallet like they have.

I am not calling them as scammer but you will not have any control of those bitcoin addresses/wallets where you will have your bitcoins, so when site will be offline or went off than you can't access your bitcoins.

Even if it is legit, the chances of winning are abysmal. If you want to gamble, you are better off using a renowned dice site.

In last few months I have just one person who claim win in lottery and post here his transactions link but its not good enough as just one members in many months just because of this most of members believe its scam or not fair but all other things going ok for long time

I feel that instead of wasting your time to claim every one hour to win that money, you can spend that time in any other means of earning money then you can earn more. Here there is no guaranty that even though you claim any number of times, you will surely get that big amount. But you can try your luck once in awhile when you visit that site.
