wouldn't they be able to deposit small amount just to reach the minimum and then do slow withdrawal?
if they think it is still profitable (after in/out transaction fees), they might be willing to do that

100k transactions fees add up and they also have to take the risk that we might actually block the withdrawal.

I have question about refback auto-share setup,
If I set 100% (or whatever %) of the commissions, is this amount protected?
what if before the distribution/payout time I lost all my balance, I wouldn't have anything to share
is there a way to set aside the current week's ref comm to guarantee refback comm to referrals?

That's a good idea, I'll add the option to protect that amount to the list of suggestions from the forum that I regularly pass on to wetsuit.

I personally don't understand why do you hold so much grudge against FreeBitco.in?

It's because he's a gormless troll with very little understanding of how anything works.

He thinks we are a scam because the faucet attracts new users and some of them then choose to gamble. Some of them then lose. There is a truism that if something is free then you are the product. The free money from the faucet gives us an opportunity to market the gambling and everyone can choose not to play if they want. It is no different to faucets that display adverts, you are still being paid to be marketed to. It's no different to what Facebook, Twitter and Google do with their free services.

The Queen write to me in PM, got something to say need for a botnet.

It's TheQuin as in Harlequin. I'm not sure why people keep asking for me to write to them when they have something to say to me. My PMs are open to Newbies.

funny you have jokes, first blocked some accounts, and now send them to their email
"We miss you.

What can we do to get you back? We've changed. We've grown so much. We've been working out, eating better, party at HiPER joins, and saving money to save on you!"

Mockery?

I personally don't understand why do you hold so much grudge against FreeBitco.in? I mean, it's even in your signature.

Have you lost big in their Lottery or in Multiply BTC? Even if the answer is yes, it's gambling, dude, anything can happen. Have the courage to accept your losses and move on.

No one will believe you here that FreeBitco.in is a scam site. We've known the site for years. So, please stop spewing hatred and start living a life you enjoy. Good luck!
you don't know what you're talking about, I didn't lose anything there because I don't trust gambling sites, I know that the casino always wins)
I'm just saying that now they persuade users to lose money, and before they were the best faucet. Those days are gone, now they are extremely deceiving people with gambling and not faucet

If you never try by yourselves how can you exactly point out that they are always winning and may be in the worse case scam you? As far as I know that thissite is pretty old site in which you do not need to scare they are going to scam you or not. They also do not want to ruin the reputation here just by scamming some amount. You said they are deceiving people, you got proof? I know it is hard to win on gambling site or lottery but yet this is legit

Hope that idea go ahead I also feel important to keep the "attractiveness" of this site boosted with some initiatives. The weekend bonus is so "normal" that most people just use it as a routine.

I've been thinking about this. I agree that the RP weekends are just routine now, but I can't come up with a good alternative idea. If we stopped doing them people would complain unless we came up with something better. Has anyone got any ideas?

I think that the influence of house edge is given great importance on the gambling board of Bitcointalk.org but doesn't extend much further. In the fiat gambling industry the sites and physical casinos don't compete on house edge, they compete to have the best promotions and comps.

Unfortunately you are wrong, because there are proof that people have been winning money from this faucet for years. There are even a thread dedicated to these winnings, where people are encouraged by the faucet owner to report their winnings. Just browse on over to this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1850855.0 and see for yourself. This guy won $200 --> http://prntscr.com/jpuhux

I have also won some of the smaller prizes on a regular basis, so I can vouch for that.  Wink

If you think this is any different from other gambling sites, or the idea of gambling itself, then you are completely deluded. That's what the whole concept of gambling is, a game of chance, and an attempt to make it out of the game despite odds being stacked against you. I don't play at this site much anymore since I no longer do faucets but I actually made successful withdrawals in the past - without ever spending a single cent or satoshi there.

Of course you eventually lose if you gamble. That... is... the... point.

you don't have to be an expert to understand what most players are losing. The administration itself wrote that they are because of this and continue to work, it is these funds that they pay their salaries, contain servers and pay users.

The rewards are only reduced for accounts that don't do at least a little gambling, buying lottery tickets or deposit to keep a higher balance.
The bots pay for captcha solves and when we reduced the reward for those accounts last time those botnets stopped briefly and weren't buying captchas. So the sites that sell captcha solves reduced their prices so the botnets were profitable again. This latest reduction really is the only thing we can do. It is targetted at accounts that really do nothing or very little other than draining the faucet. It is a gradual reduction by a very small % per day.

Whatever move you do, those botnets will keep adapting and finding ways to drain the faucet. I think the only thing you can do is lower the base reward even more for such accounts so that it isn't profitable anymore.

Which makes the faucet basically useless for real people like me. And no, I'm not going to deposit $50 I don't have to a site run by people I don't know.

The higher rewards are there to reward people that gamble. The $50 balance option gives an alternative to those that don't want to gamble. If you do neither then you'll probably get more from getting paid to click on adverts elsewhere.

You could argue gambling is not a productive activity for you, but it is optional and if you have gifts elsewhere then go that way and hopefully you will do well.  But nothing is certain in life ?

If the faucet was free to begin with, there is not much to complain about.   Would be nice to have caught those faucets in the early days paying out 5 bitcoins a time :O  but lack of foresight in taking that up myself is my own fault.

This place being around a long time is great for the little person because they will take a long time to get alot of BTC or have to wait a long time for BTC price to rise alot and it becomes a nice figure.    I'd rather see a site like this around forever then a newer site pop up and disappear with peoples free balances also no longer available

@TheQuin, is Myfe still working from freebitco.in here or not (just curious since you also appear to be helping freebitco.in).

The faucet gets you a lottery ticket each time too so you could get quite a bit.
I remember having quite a hefty amount of bitcoin there once and earning the nice interest they pay there.

And it's true that if we'd have got in sooner, we might have a lot more Bitcoin, it's also true that we would either have sold it, or regretted selling it when we got up to 20k and then are now slumped at around ~10k for the forceable.

Yes, @TheQuin, took over from Myfe and he is now the official support person for the Freebitco.in thread on this forum. In my

opinion he is doing a fine job.  Wink  || Also, I think people that join this faucet 10 years from now, will say that they wish that

they joined this site when it paid out 20+ Satoshi per hour.  If all goes well, even Satoshi's will be worth a lot by then.  Wink

You are saying a general statement, not only for freebitcoin. Most gamblers will lose at the end if they do not know how to manage their gambling habit. No one is forced to gamble, it is our own preferences whether to gamble or not.
Here in freebitcoin, there is a chance to win huge amount for free that you cant find at other places. It is from the lottery game because you cant use the free tickets to join the lottery game. Use it all the time wont make you lose at the end.

1 satoshi = 1 dollar would seem impossible but I would rate it far more likely then that for a variety of reasons, ask me if you are not aware of how that happens.
Do not limit your horizons and believe its impossible, we are all sitting at the tail end of a generational change to the dollar reserve system.  Its very possible for crypto to be part of that and if you aint got much to your name by way of cash dollar money then the wisest thing to do is follow opportunity and possible growth.    You know already crypto can grow a hell of alot and I do not think the story is over.

@TheQuin, is Myfe still working from freebitco.in here or not (just curious since you also appear to be helping freebitco.in).

A couple of months ago when wetsuit made some changes there were a lot of complaints in these threads. Myfe wasn't online for a long time and I ended up giving the trolls a hard time. Then wetsuit offered me his job. I'm assuming those facts are related.

The faucet gets you a lottery ticket each time too so you could get quite a bit.
I remember having quite a hefty amount of bitcoin there once and earning the nice interest they pay there.

Have a look at round 126. A brand new account won the 5th prize of 0.11908959 BTC with 2 tickets. They only had one free spin and got all that. Anything can and does happen in games of chance.

And it's true that if we'd have got in sooner, we might have a lot more Bitcoin, it's also true that we would either have sold it, or regretted selling it when we got up to 20k and then are now slumped at around ~10k for the forceable.

I do so remember back in 2012 thinking if only I'd got in sooner. I'm pretty sure that everyone starting today is still an early adopter. Most of them will make the mistake you are talking about and sell out too soon. HODL, you know it makes sense.

Ah right, that's a bit sad.
Yeah, myfe used to come online once a day or so on the forum for quite a short amount of time. He'd only pick certain messages to reply to quite a lot as well when people had issues (mine was one of them though so that wans't too bad).

Yeah there are always those lucky people. I haven't got that lucky ever, doubt I've ever won the lottery actually.

Hodl seems like a great option since I've lost near enough to 2BTC in the past two years by doing certain things like trading (cryptocurrency and cloud mining).
I should put all my coins into an encrypted paper wallet in a vault where I'm not as happy to go and collect it every time I have an idea... (that'd keep everything healthy).

1 satoshi = 1 dollar would seem impossible but I would rate it far more likely then that for a variety of reasons, ask me if you are not aware of how that happens.
Yes, so many lost coins will mean that could be possible one day.
I have to admit, when I started, 1mbtc = 1$ seemed improbable, and we're currently at around 1mbtc = 10$!
