There are not many gamblers that stop while they're ahead and hit the withdraw button but this one did.
who knows maybe it is the same person but using different account btw, how do you know that he's winning and not losing? can you see each user's stats I can imagine that he has probably at least 10 BTC balance to raise total wager of 100+ BTC

The wagering contest for the month of August will be ending soon, but it seems that the winner on the 1st place of the previous wagering contest is not wagering big amount this month, the user ID of the winner in the previous wagering contest is 14107731, but I didn't see him taking up any spots yet in the top 10 players for this month wagering contest, I was thinking if he will appear and start to wager huge amount of money before this month wagering contest ends or will we see a new player winning this month big prize for the 1st place.
Unless he/she is addicted to gambling then they may gamble every day and month. But he may be thinking that whatever he has got lost month may be good enough and may come back sometime later. If you play or wager dice game more and more then finally people lose more than they get. Good luck to the people who are competing this month. There are not many gamblers that stop while they're ahead and hit the withdraw button but this one did. That would take a rediculous amount of control to do, they must have had a good lucky streak and thought it wasn't going to continue or something. The highest wager is even higher than last month at about 114 BTC (I'm surprised it's not higher though)...

I'm going to be taking on a lot more responsibilities as wetsuit wants to concentrate on development. This one is still playing the same account just not with such large amounts. I wouldn't say what their balance was but it is quite normal for people to wager at least 20x a starting balance and sometimes a lot more.

Looking at my referrals over the last couple of years, not a lot of them are still using their accounts and I just want to know if this is the norm? You do not have to divulge any "secret" information, just a ballpark figure will do. { I want us to brainstorm some ideas to increase "activity" and to increase "retention" of users}

It is very normal for all gambling sites and also faucets to have low retention rates. The site stats won't tell us much more than that. The vast majority of my referrals only played 1 or 2 spins. They probably saw the "Win $200 for free" in my signature then when they tried it though 'I'll never win' and just didn't come back. It's the few that do stay that matter. One of my referrals started gambling in the last 2 months after having been active since 2013. They've wagered 11.8 BTC this month alone.

It is a most common thing because when people are new they may be interested claim a few times a day. But soon or later they will realize that this is the too small amount and find some better option to spend their online time and slowly give up. People always look for betterments so if one wants to earn money from referrals then we have to find new referrals every month. Just guessing - also, if they realize that they can have their own referral then can get free commissions for their main account so they may stop using their original account to claim.

Only 10 hours left in this months wagering contest. Plenty of time for someone to come in and take the $10,000 first prize.

looks like 14354171 did take over #1 on wagering contest with BTC114+ and it seems he might have used his own referral id, and won #2 on referral contest total BTC1.75 from both contest, not a bad haul... assuming he's not losing more than that WAGERING #1 14354171 1.42503937 114.15015500 REFERRAL #2 14354048 0.35625984 114.15015500

Is there any option to browse through the contest page in order to see the list of previous winners who won the wagering contest and referral contest for Round 1? There is an option on the lottery page that allows the users to browse through previous rounds to view the lottery winners, maybe the admin can consider adding this function to the wagering contest too.

We do that on the lottery because people might want to check against the ticket list which they can still find the link to on our Twitter feed. I can't really think why anyone would want to check further back than the last wagering competition.

I can't really think why anyone would want to check further back than the last wagering competition. Well, it should be quite obvious. We want to calculate how many times people have won any of the previous contests, like we do with the Lottery. Any site like to gather statistics as proof that they had previous contests and many winners, because people will feel more comfortable if they see previous statistics of other people participating in these contests. I have visited many other small gambling sites and I have checked their lotteries and contests and most of them are only won by 1 to 5 different users, which will raise a immediate red flag for me.

The only other site I play at these days is crypto-games.net and their wagering contest only displays one previous month's winners' lists. Often the same players are involved as obviously there are not that many high rollers around. There's nothing to stop conspiracy theorists from keeping their own list.

@thequin, did you work out what you were doing with the lottery winnings confiscated from the botnets?
Since you now have access to the user database, is there a lot of people who have disabled the lottery and/or interest?

I only have limited access at the moment so I can see the data I need for each user. I don't have the ability to run custom searches like that.
