I also don't know how the amount of bonus that users are eligible for is calculated. I tried to find something in the website, But I couldn't.

The amount of bonus you are eligible to claim is 1% of the amount wagered since completing your last bonus.

Due to the 5% house edge, the website will never lose even if they allow users to claim bonus as much as they have bitcoin on their balance. Maybe they want to encourage players to wager more before claiming bonus.

"the website will never lose" is a common misconception. We lose to some players and win to others. Given a large enough turnover variance of luck should be reduced enough to mean the website comes out on top but it is far from guaranteed. One thing that can be guaranteed is that if any site gives a +EV bonus it would be heavily exploited and they would go bust.

I read some posts above and I noticed there is a discussion whether Freebitco is a pyramid scheme or not.
Any one think that freebitco or some similar gambling websites are Pyramid scheme, don't know what is a pyramid scheme.

You have nailed it here. To call any casino a pyramid scheme is to not understand what it means. A casino uses profits made from those who lose to pay those who win. A pyramid scheme is a fake investment that uses new investments to pay fictional profits to existing customers. There is no room to confuse the two.

Lmao. This the first time I have heard a gambling site viewed as a pyramiding scheme. There were already a lot of pyramiding scheme that were busted in the past years and most of them has not even for once mentioned a gambling company site. Pyramiding schemes promises you to earn more than 100% and above roi in less than a month or week ( take note : always earn) while gambling is very clear that you can win or lose playing the game so there is no such thing as confusion between the two.

If all the people who deposited coins on this website had brains like you, you wouldn't be getting those sweet interest profits don't you agree?

Freebitco.in basically collects money from greedy dumb people and give it to less greedy smarter people.
I think this is not for people who want to not gamble, it is literally for gamblers. So, if you deposit to take advantage of lottery, or want to have 4% interest rate or whatever else reason then yeah you should not take advantage of the promotion, however if you come here to gamble then you gonna end up playing that much anyway so there is no reason not to take it.

Gamblers gladly take it because with that bonus you get to gamble some more and in the end maybe you will lose all of your money or maybe you will end up winning but that is the uncertainty that the gamblers love and play for. You are telling a guy who will come in and gamble in your casino "here have some more money to gamble", why shouldn't they take it? They will certainly accept that with open arms.

I agree with this. I think most of the people that keep a balance are active gamblers. Sure the 4% is nice but keep in mind that there are some savings accounts or GIC which pay close to 3% or so. And those are rock solid secure and insured by the government. Keeping your BTC savings on a website will always have some counterparty risk as its always possible to get a virus or malware and get your BTC stolen.

These promos and interest rate that casinos give is usually because the gambler will be happy to get a free gift and chances are they will gamble on their website and most likely lose it anyways and end up giving it back to the site. This is why many casinos are generous and same with physical casinos. Like in Las Vegas, they give cheap hotel rooms and food because they know people will most likely gamble and they will make more money that way.

Capitalism in general is not a process of perfect fairness, its distribution from weak hands to the most competitive thats the only reason it really works out because it serves a greater purpose then itself of serving demand in an economy.   Gambling isnt fair either, its a paid game and the pay is made via the odds given and I think thats almost the same everywhere on any type of bet I can think of.    Cost via spread is very common right across finance, its a slightly hidden cost possibly but able to be viewed if broken down with a bit of mathematics.

Right now they are doing the deposit bonus again, wish I was a bit richer to make another deposit because that seems a nice bonus and the % interest is ok by me because I live in one of the silly countries with nearly zero returns on cash.    The possible returns on BTC vs inflation in many economies partly explains the ongoing price and its buoyancy beyond the belief on many.

I think freebitco should add Basketball world cup on their betting section. I am sure there are many basketball enthusiasts that will participate in world cup betting.
Now we are still on the second group stage phase. Till now the first group stage and half of the games of second group stage has missed. I suggest freebitco to run basketball world cup betting from quarterfinals (next round). Such a big tournament shouldn't be missed on freebitco.
Basketball world cup is certainly more attractive than Rugby matches.

I thought that FreeBitcoin.io is for faucets to get free bitcoins as the name implies Smiley and never thought that there are sports betting on them.

Adding Basketball particularly the on going FIBA world cup and the upcoming NBA would be good so users could have lot to choose which platform to use.

that's how i see it. in my opinion, freebitco.in is about providing newcomers the first touch with bitcoin.
getting a few sat for free, creating your own wallet, testing payments, etc.
the possibility to earn a few extra sat by lottery or ref is ok. i would never have seen it as a real/pure betting platform.
i don't think that was the original idea either... there are certainly platforms that are better aligned to it Smiley

Do you now that you need to wager 25 times the amount you claim for bonus before you become able to withdraw that?
I guess you live in a country with a very low inflation rate and good economic condition. Never be sad for low interest rates. Do you prefer to get 30% interest rate but have 50% inflation rate?
Any way, I agree that the interest rate on freebitco is really fair and fine. Freebitco has many other good options such as easy sending and receiving bitcoin, the weekly lottery and now its Lambo lottery. You can also bet on different events and enjoy it.

That 4% is nice not because it is high interest rate but because it is a bitcoin interest rate. Normally you can get that much interest in many places of the world, it is either close to 4% or it is above 4% but with fiat (let's be honest here there are negative rates in some great countries as well). Here, the difference is you are getting a 4% on BITCOIN which is why we are getting so hyped up about it (at least I do) because we are getting more bitcoin for our bitcoin and that is the difference maker.

I would like to hold my coins and not cash them out to fiat just for interest, I will hold my bitcoins without interest rate anyway, so this is just icing on the cake, 0% is good enough for me so when it is 4% it is just an extra amount you make from nothing you normally would make.

Withdraw what? I don't think you understand what he is talking about.

He is talking about the deposit bonus on freebitco.in which they credit your account with the golden tickets for every 0.05btc you deposit. Golden tickets are for the lambo lottery which'll happen 49 days later.

There is no wager requirement for anything. You can deposit, get the tickets and withdraw immediately. If you like stay a few days and collect interest too.

Yea perhaps I should have posted the picture for reference, but this is a free bonus ticket for just depositing.  I've heard/seen of the play through rule before, I think even where that is in play they still allow the original capital to be withdrawn but not the bonus money.   I've not read any restriction here recently, I just liked the idea of winning a Lambo for something I'd do anyway without risk really.     Its still very slight odds but I've won on the smallest odds before and the biggest prize in the raffle just nothing this big :p

my withdraw page has no limit

The free lambo ticket offer

Quote
Normally you can get that much interest in many places of the world,

I cannot get 4%, if I withdraw this BTC I'd have to go elsewhere and stay in Bitcoin or go really adventurous and find a foreign bank and considering the nonsense red tape I think I wont.   If I go FIAT I end up with weak currency thats lost 10% of its value in recent months and the official rate is not even 1%    The central bank wont change this, cant change this because the government debt will cause us to go broke if we paid real interest so its tough luck for the common people.    We're living in a bubble imo
The only other thing I consider holding is gold or paying for your own home is justified, somehow holding BTC isnt so silly in some countries with bad currency.

Quote
Do you prefer to get 30% interest rate but have 50% inflation rate?

30% inflation has happened previously in my lifetime yea, lucky I had zero money anyway.    We will see this again imo, very few countries are perfectly well off.

Is anyone here taking advantage of the 4% interest we can earn on our BTC?

I have started a new strategy where I am sending my BTC I earn from faucets over to FreeBitcoin to build up my BTC balance so that I can earn more from the 4% interest. By doing this I am risk free as I haven't put in my own BTC but only time spent on claiming from faucets. I started just a few weeks ago and have already built my balance up to close to 0.005. People say that faucets are a waste of time but that's how I got started and now I'm doing pretty good for myself all thanks to faucets. Even people can claim from Altcoin faucets and sell for BTC on exchanges and then have that BTC sent to FreeBitcoin to earn from the 4% interest.
I'm doing something similar for a long time already. But now I don't claim from faucets so actively as in past. Now mainly I just claim from Freebitco.in and don't withdraw it. Faucet payments are little nowadays, so 0.005 BTC in few weeks is not bad.
When Freebitco.in released plans about rebranding, they planned to add more coins to their website like Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Doge. If it will be implemented, we will be able to deposit these coind to Freebitco.in directly and choose in which coin to receive interest. I'm just not sure if they are still planning to do this thing.

Withdraw what? I don't think you understand what he is talking about.
I thought he means the bonus that we can claim in "Multiply BTC" section. Maybe I am wrong. If he means the Lambo Tickets, you are right. There is no need to wager for that. Every one has the chance to get 1 free Lambo ticket for every 0.05 BTC deposit without any withdraw limit.

Really? It's the first time I've heard about this. Is there any link to an announcement or any other thing help me for more details?

That’s a smart strategy and I did that when the interest rates were first announced, back then I was able to claim 300 to 500 Satoshis per hour and then I simply kept the earnings on freebitco and got decent interest from them. I’m surprised to see your earnings from faucets, as they’re really big considering these days we only get to claim 7 Satoshis per hour.

@LTU_btc even I wish to see the link as I have some bitcoin cash lying around, would be nice to earn some interest on it.

But I'm not sure that their plans are still same because this post was made long time ago. Maybe TheQuin can answer better about future plans of Freebitco.in.

If the interest rates exists for more coins I would like to put up usdt for it as well. I know its not easy to give up interest on something like usdt and it will be really difficult for freebitcoin to keep making profits enough to pay for the interest and mining may not be enough because sometimes the coins drop in price which means you do earn more ethereum for example but you do not earn enough in usdt since price went down.

However, it is a risk they may take considering they might also make a lot when the price goes up whereas they give up usdt. So if they add other coins, I pray they add usdt, I am more of a safe guy so I want to be able to get interests in the form of dollars instead of crypto as well. However I will keep my btc going too because I love that too. I just won't use the smaller doge like ones.

There are other websites like Nexo that are giving you 8% interest, why will anyone consider investing their Bitcoin with them? The amount of Bitcoin dispensed by the faucet so less that when you check the calculation on the interest earned it will always show zero.

According to your strategy, you will earn a decent interest after a period of a year. Most of us do not have that amount of time.

I do. It works like a clock. Sometimes the payments arrive very late at night (It is probably a time zone thing) but they do in the end, the timing for payments is random every day.

that was a great idea for the future of this site, i don't know why we haven't seen anything yet. i was mostly excited about the addition of altcoins and the fact that you could easily exchange them for bitcoin ("a no-KYC shapeshift.io style exchange"), this is specially interesting because they have such ridiculously low withdrawal fees (since they batch transactions) compared to exchanges.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Anybody can create a no KYC shapeshift right away. Just hire a few coders and they'll copy/paste shapeshift's code w/o KYC for you.

The tricky part is how is freebitco.in going to avoid the power which forced shapeshift to implement KYC. If that power (FEDs, police, CIA, NSA whatever your call them) wants to find out who the owner of freebitco.in, they'll find him and those guys are pretty good at intimidating people. They gave Voorhees 2 choices:

a) Go to prison for life
b) Force KYC and keep your business.

Maybe it is going to have a chance if they come up with a decentralized app. Otherwise  I find it unrealistic.
