I always donated about 10% of all my winnings, no matter how small it was.    It would be nice if Wetsuit could revisit his decision to remove the feature and find some new spot for it. 

I know he had some counter that automatically donated a specific amount, once donations reached a specific amount. 

I think they removed it because the charity they were giving the Bitcoin to stopped accepting BTC, so it was no longer possible to verify if they were actually giving the money to charity.

I placed two bets on this event:

I placed a few on those high odds because BTC acts like a bull-whip when its moves and can deliver the impossible.   I dont predict it just zooms up like that in 10 days but its more likely then the remote distant target it appears.   I do have better reasons but I forget when I look away from the chart, the main reason not would be the speed bump that is 200 day average and it takes time anyhow.

The outcome odds have slightly changed(not in my favor) since I placed my bets, but I think it's still okay to win with 23.14x if BTC price will be in the range "$10,501 - $11,000". Also I bet on "$9,501 - $10,000", which seems more likely to be a winning bet currently, and the outcome odds are 6.73 now, which is also not that bad in my opinion.

Regarding the high odds,  we have the situation which is particularly interesting at the moment:



You can get higher multiplier with winning your bet on "$16,001 - $17,500", which is way more likely to happen than "More than $25,000".

If the charity they were partnered with stopped accepting bitcoin, they could simply pick another one. I feel like if we could get back donation button and all free rolls would have a "donate %x amount of it to charity" option, there would be plenty of people who would accept it. If we are getting free money for nothing, why shouldn't the people who probably need it more shouldn't get it as well?

Unicef for example accepts bitcoin payments if I remember correctly, they could just simply give it to them and we would know that they actually spend it on good things, they are a very known one. I don't really mind them pick whatever charity they want, I am sure they won't pick something like "union of software developers in silicon valley" type of silly thing, they will pick something real and important and we would all feel a bit better about ourselves.

I don't think it's a short period for such betting. Bitcoin price is very volatile and unpredictable, and BTC can gain, or lose, $2k-$3k within a week easily. No one is forcing you to bet early. You can bet during the very last hour the bets are accepted, and you'll have your advantage(if you think that's advantageous).

Yes, apart from my two other bets, which I made earlier, I decided to bet tomorrow too, but again, Bitcoin is unpredictable, and maybe I'll win with my earlier bets, who knows?

I don't think it's a short period for such betting. Bitcoin price is very volatile and unpredictable, and BTC can gain, or lose, $2k-$3k within a week easily. No one is forcing you to bet early. You write that you have already bet, if u do not mind, could you state what price and when you bet earlier and on what price you will bet tomorrow? I wonder which one will be closer to the final one at the end of month... Let's do a small experiment

Ever since I have discovered this bet. I have been claiming free rolls then multiplying BTC then placing wager on each and every bet. That is no excuse. There are more than enough charities that does accept bitcoin and if they do not accept Bitcoin, they can use some kind of payment processor to donate to a charity of their choice.

Let's not make excuses for not doing this, because a lot of charities need donations to stay alive. Just look at the difference that the Pineapple fund made to several charities that accepted Bitcoin. <Some did not even accept Bitcoin at the time, but when they were approached, they found a way to accept Bitcoin>

To those that really want charity donations, why not just give directly yourself? Donating it to the site and expecting them to give it to someone is one extra step. It is not like it is so difficult to donate on your own.

To the Peter Schiff video,,, I agree with the comments about cherry picking though:) I love having Bitcoin but I pity those who got in crypto and got it near bullrun plus near alt moon.

Indeed! Winning more than a quarter of bitcoin with 101 satoshis wagered is a big luck. I bought 150 additional tickets for myself immediately after seeing this post. I mean, we had 4 winners with less than 200 tickets in the lottery round 242. I think I can expect to win with my 200+ tickets. Who cares about the win chance? We all know that we can lose betting with 98% win chance on dice, and, at the same time, this guy with 101 tickets had what, less than 0.00005% win chance? Screw it! I expect to win!

Good luck with that! I've basically tried for several weeks in a row to get 0.1% of tickets and above, at some point I even almost managed 0.5% of total tickets, but have yet to win a single prize.

Then, a couple of weeks back I lost my entire balance due to some negligence on my end so I'm still kinda recovering. Slowly freerolling and betting on sports.

Point is, those results give me hope even my freerolling could win me something back;)

The problem is verifying that they actually sent the Bitcoin to charity. Unless the charity is using a static donation address we can't verify without doing blockchain analysis which would require information that isn't easily available. They can say they're donating the BTC but they could just keep it for themselves and we wouldn't know.

"Expecting to win" is something totally different than understanding that you might win even with 1 ticket and you may lose even with a million tickets. I have literally seen people with 6 million tickets to get 7-9th spots, they won "something" but considering how much 6 million tickets costs, that wasn't really a big deal.

One thing I am not entirely sure is that, if we have multiple tickets, do we also have a chance to win multiple rewards as well? Or does our tickets become nothing after we won something, like lets say I won the first place, is there a chance I am still in consideration for the second place as well? That would make sense in case of people who buy millions of tickets, they might be hoping to get multiple rewards for it, but if that is not the case, I think it makes no sense to buy that much.

It's impossible to win more than one prize.
