Looks nice vs3.

By the way: I wanted to ask if I have to flash the controler of the nf with a firmware....probably...but how is it done, if it is necessary at all.

Thank you and best regards.

Has anyone managed to get more than 10 nf1 running on a beaglebone black.
It doesn't seem to pick anymore up when I run bfgminer and gets a MCP error

Nope, no firmware necessary (since there is no additional microcontroller) - which is the beauty of the NanoFury design Wink

However, you do need to run a small program to initialize some settings on the board (namely the product string) - which is required for some miners (bfgminer) but not for others (cgminer). But all of this is already described and detailed on the project git page.

yup - they're chained (a.k.a. in a "string").

DYI kits on the way! :-)

I have only 4 panels and one stencil left!
(I wish I knew that DYIs would be so popular and ordered some more panels...)

Several people have asked me for a NF2 DYI kit.
So I ordered some extra boards - they're 8 boards per panel and should be arriving at some point later this week or early next.

I have a few extra panels left. I also have an extra steel laser cut stencil.

Pricing will be as follows:
----------------------------
8-board panel: $80
Stencil : $70
Components pack (all components for 8 boards excluding bitfury chip) : $100
----------------------------
Ground shipping within the US will be free. PM me for international.

Note: heatsink and thermal tape are not included.

TO PLACE AN ORDER:
PM me with what you want and I'll send you a quote with the final amount and payment instructions.
Please put DYI KIT in the message subject line.
For the quote I'll need a shipping address, and if you prefer UPS/FEDEX also a phone number.
Payment options (in the order of preference) will include: BTC (coinbase rate), check, paypal.

I anticipate having everything in my hands and ready for shipping at some time next week. Based on the interest I'll be ordering the missing components on Thursday (with expected delivery on Monday).

Below are images of the panel and actual boards with stencils. Boards on the panel have been specifically laid out for an easy automated SMT machine assembly.

edit: added clarification regarding heatsink and thermal tape

It needs a power lead, a wi-fi twig and some white led's.
Then it could be suspended from the ceiling and used for space heating and lighting as well.  Cool  Roll Eyes

H-card to USB converter.

Letting it ride with 8 chips 50 osc bits(to stay in usb specs as i read on bfg readme)

If someone could solve the 50% frequency drops in bfg it would run great and also overclock.
Or if there was support fort multiple bf chips in cgminer...

sweeeeet :-)

btw the 50-bit stuff is meant for NF1 - from observations at around 50bits it uses 0.5Amps (hence "within USB2 specs").
In your case this doesn't really matter so - as the guys from Eagles sing - "take it to the limit"! (a.k.a. girls favorite song about credit cards Cheesy)

8 chips seems to be the limit, after that(currently at 12 chips) it gives alot of 50% drops and reinitialising, every time it reinitialises it brings a HW error with it, most of the times.
As i said, if it truly reinitialises the chip i think it breaks the chain and has to start all over again... i dont really know.
If i tweak the osc bits for all the chips to top out at 12ghs it works, no hw errors, no drops.

The H-card works good(all good chips) with an m-board, so the card is not the problem.

The mcp2210 should be able to take more but i dont know how to tweak the software, maybe someone could help.

Or if there was support for multiple bf chips in cgminer...
I don't have one so cannot write the support for it. I only have 2 single chip icefuries.
