Introduction

Bolicoin (also known as Boli) is a virtual currency from Venezuela created by Satoshisimon Bolivarmoto. Our goal was to create a trusted cryptocurrency suported by the Venezuelan citizens and for the Venezuela natural resourses. The philosophy of Bolivarcoin is to follow the ideals set by others altcoins and adapt it and make it more friendly for it users by creating a social media campaign to inform about its benefits and uses.

• Client updated to version 1.0.0.2.
• Name of the customer changed to BolivarCore.
• Added new checkpoints. (To avoid potential Hash attacks)

I presume this is being introduced to contrast positively to the PTR introduction which is pre mined, sold by ICO and has no maximum limit to coins ?    I hope people in Venezuela will be able to access this blockchain and benefit from that.    I'm not really thinking Madro is now willing to risk the idea of a free market, so he is not exactly committed to crypto in a traditional way.   More the Ripple kind of way where value is dictated and controlled by one central body.
This would also have the advantage of not international sanctions and repercussions levelled against it for using such a coin.

I think this is an issue that has destroyed some coins already.

Somebody hacks the network and prevents blocks, then releases a bunch of blocks that they created, all at once, basically hijacking the network so they can mine all the coins.

If that is happening here the coin will be useless once it is clear the network has been hijacked. If you notice no blocks for an extended period, then suddenly blocks appear that were mined during the period when no blocks were mined, the coin is probably finished.
