The market is the one that is in a horrible shape, so not only etheruem is suffering but all the coins as well, and the worst part is that there is not much to do, the market will keep in this state for some time and you only have two options to get out of the market and wait for a better opportunity or to keep holding hoping that the recovery may happen soon.

I agree with you, I also buy ethereum and hold a coin,
because ethereum will be a good coin and follow the bitcoin price movement. I wait until the end of 2018 hopefully ethereum can crawl up

Ethereum now seems doing its best to recover sooner. We don't know everything beyond our limitation of ethereum aspects. Okey we knew it is in coinmarketcap but we don't know the entire business of ethereum in day to day basis. Don't worry it will get back on track in the proper time.

I'm guessing by the timing of the post, that the OP was wondering why the price was going down.
Looking at eths all time high from last jan. it is crazy to see it down to be worth around 400 to 500 usd.

The immediate future for alts looks grim.
It is looking good for btc as people migrate back to it and if the ETF gets approved then it will definitely take off.
But then all of the money will once again be centralized around btc.

I don't see it going back out into alts again until oct or nov.

So, as wise trading strategies go, as the price of alts crash, buy them up.
AS the price of btc goes up, sell it.

And eth is by the most reliable and strongest alt out there.

Eth prices are currently down but you do not have to worry because this kind of thing often happens because in selling and buying again in the competition between USA and China but we do not panic because next month the price will rise slowly.

I don't know either. few days ago when bitcoin price was rising, eth price still not rising as much as bitcoin.
maybe just some whales tried to controlling the cryptocurrency market by manipulating the price.
Other than the price, i think eth is a good coin because many peoples use it. Usually for ICOs.

Everything is normal because Bitcoin has the same price decline.
You can check all of them in coinmarketcap, because AEthereum also follows the price of Bitcoin.

You don't need to worry about Ethereum because Ethereum has more valuable value with its smartcontract feature to open all ICOs.

The thing that is occurring with ETH is the thing that that is going on with bitcoin and all other crypto coins right now . The market is scrubbing down again and it is simply sinking its esteem . This conspicuous that ETH isn't an exemption and is going precisely as bitcoin is . It is only the "bearish" period of the market that isn't appearing to end from couple of months now.

I understand that the price isn't as good as we think. However, I believe that one day it will recover like before. It is normal for us to see these market corrections from time to time after a bull run. Recently, the bulls are trying to defend, but these bears cannot be stopped until they have reached the targeted low price for them to buy back. Just my two sats.
