Price is affected by dozen different things. But major things are just people's desire to use bitcoin and bitcoin's calculated ease. I mean bitcoin technology project and it gets more expensive by proving its tech..

i think you need to more study about this market,
20k usd is not real price of bitcoin,
1st of all do you think from 3k-20k usd its obviously odd , isn't it?
its just a hype , people came to the market and invest there , they just bought it , but they really don't know about it.
so bitcoin needs price correction .

some bad news made it down price,
new people get involve with it and they start following the news and get panic .
panic is not good for trading.

and the other hand the price of bitcoin is rise too much , its must need to  re-correction .

Whales are definitely affecting the price of bitcoin. Pump and dump scheme is very common here in crypto world so if you are a whale most likely you will be the ones manipulating the price volatility.

Supply and demand always affect the price of bitcoin. The more supply in the market then most likely bitcoin would be cheap.

Those people who are just following those people who sell their bitcoins they are the cause of the decreasing of bitcoin's value but these people also the one who increase the value by buying again more bitcoin. Investors affects the price rule of demand and supply must apply.

We all know that volatility is bitcoin's characteristic but maybe one of the reason is fake news that affected investor's trust to bitcoin.Because of that emotion some will result to panic selling.

I can't see any bad news now. The news background is mostly positive and price is still sinking. From that I can conclude that price is defined by market laws, and the offer now is much higher than buy. Not much new people believe in BTC now and throw their money into that. Those who'be in cryptos for a while, already have experience, so they jusy hold hold hold

Bitcoin may soar and crash, but it still keeps lead in the global market because of its high and strong potential. Factors would be the increasing/decreasing demand, regulatory moves, media influence, and the users and developers themselves. Identifying the factors that affect the price of Bitcoin can be very helpful to reduce risks and take appropriate actions when crisis emerged.

there still many bad news that makes people afraid and they are selling the bitcoin they have because they don't want to get lose if somehow the price is down too deep. and this is the major reason why the price is going to down and people become panic to see this and they cannot hold any longer. and the major things that might be influence people to use bitcoin is by spreading in many places and to many places.

that's a good question that even me want to know it answers . but i think one of the things that affected the most the price of btc is the big amount of miners
For my opinion the best affects the price are the people who have btc and the miners who provides btc because their livelihood depends of the btc price .

bitcoin slowly went down this year, from almost 20k USD last December and went down at a significant price

what might be the reason why bitcoin's price is going down?
what are the major things that can greatly influence bitcoin?
answers would be fully appreciated Smiley

There is only one reason for fall : Buying-Selling. So, when traders see bad news about any coin, everybody start sell all of their crypto and all of market be red.

I think negative news can affect bitcoin prices, as many sellers become panicked, and bitcoin prices are falling, as bitcoin prices are set by the market.

The factor that affects price mostly is, Market manipulations from the financial institutions, the news, the FUDs, and most importantly, technicals these are the things that you should be watching out as they are going to be a good trigger for your trades, this is the butterfly effect that is why we need to be sure to our all decisions before making a conclusion.

People's willingness, governments, bans, market news, economical situation, american central bank, european bank and these kind of factors can affect bitcoin price and they're actually already affecting.

I guess it is the people who are just get their target or their minimum profit in investing in bitcoin so they just sell their bitcoin and it has a possibility that they will buy again the probably the bitcoin's value will increase again so we will just wait Smiley

Traders and people who like crypto are the main forces that driving the price in the market. Then other forces come out like market treds and user behaviours. Whether or not they will sell/buy their assets.

Some claim that bitcoin's market price is affected by the whales who are moving out their bitcoin's from their digital wallet causing the market cap of bitcoin to collapse and so as with its market price too. As to people who also panic sell their crypto assets during crisis, they are also making the crisis even worse. That's how the price of bitcoin is and it's completely relying on people's demand.
