RIAA warns against bitcoin, The Pirate Bay in latest ‘notorious websites’ list

http://rt.com/usa/riaa-bitcoin-pirate-bay-notorious-993/

Since there are many people that despise the RIAA this might be an endorsement for Bitcoin?  Perhaps they should be afraid?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Is donating to the Pirate Bay illegal? Afaik it's not.

While I wouldn't go so far to damn all copyright laws, I think the current ones are utterly stupid. (and most of that thanks to those lobbying groups)

Fact: there's a much easier way to distribute music

Fact: the RIAA wants to stop this new technology making it easy to distribute music; because without this technology they make more money (arguable)

One of the reasons why RIAA dont like bitcoins is that they are very good at going at the money source of pirate sites. Payment solutions, ads etc.
With bitcoin they CANNOT do this.

Maybe we should rethink how we profit from our work without relying on copyright laws; we obviously don't agree with them so it comes as no surprise that we don't follow them.  No matter how severe the punishments, a law we don't agree on is just that.

So now we finally reached the "they fight you" part... Cheesy

I'm in it to win it Grin
