I own a Galaxy S3. It was the best choice when I bought it. Might get a new one soon.

I'd avoid Andorid phones, they sound like knockoffs, like Tymex/Timex.

XD.

I forgot to mention I also rooted my phone and I'm runnig a custom ROM.

Androrid? It's called Android..

Anyhow they are better than what others offer, iOS is un-customizable crap.
Wait for Q1 2014 and either buy a newer model then or buy at the holiday season.
Ever heard of a "jailbreak"?

I have to agree with Xanis. Rooting gives you access to everything your phone has to offer. Installing custom ROMs will give you endless customizing possibilities, like installing features from other phones.

A jailbreaked iphone has around the same capabilities as an unrooted android phone.
After you root it you get things you could never imagine.

I use my phone to talk, text, check emails, and browse the web. I might use an app every now and then, except I have a Samsung Android that sucks, and the apps suck. If I wanted to use apps more, and there might be some that I would like to use more, I'd rather have an iPhone where the apps are more polished and of higher quality.

Regarding the ability to do all the neat stuff you guys are bragging about, why, that sounds about as interesting as washing dishes and cleaning toilets. And for the record, I've been using and programming computers since 1983.

The last thing in the world I want to do is configure and tinker with a phone.

Android apps are really fast. The difference is that Android mostly has free and paid versions. The free version has ads and won't be as good as the paid version. Just download the full .apk from a website and you have the best version for free Smiley
