As a personal preference I would say ETH, as Tron always seems a bit over-hyped.

if we talk about popularity i think ethereum is more than tron,,
and personally i believe ethereum is better than tron,, but, this is about investments opportunity,,
so, its better to split your funds not 50 : 50 but 70% for ethereum and the others 30% for tron
