Hi guys.  I saw the light and got involved with bitcoin but unfortunately I've come awry already Huh I'm my excitement I closed my bitcoin wallet containing my newly acquired bitcoins (or rather parts thereof) and now I'm pulling my hair out trying to find it.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not great with computers (but I am working on it) so If anyone could help me out or direct me to an earlier post it'd be really appreciated.  I'm running windows 7 if it helps.

Many thanks.

You're wallet, in windows, is going to be located in the appdata/bitcoin directory

1.) Hit the Windows Key or click the start buttong
2.) Type %appdata% and hit enter
3.) Open the bitcoin folder
4.) wallet.dat is the wallet file

What wallet did you use?
I'm not sure, if I correctly understand your problem: Aren't you able to find the start button for the wallet-program?
If it was bitcoin-qt it could be this path "C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe"

Yeah we need to know which wallet you're using first.

PC Mac or Linux?

On PC it's in C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/MultiBit

it should be called multibit.wallet unless you renamed it.
