This thread is dominated by bots posting mindless repetitive garbage to boost the page count, the amount of useful informative posts is very low, almost makes this thread pointless to follow. At least when a thread is over run by FUD it can help if the fud raises concerns that get addressed,  the shill fest we have here achieves nothing.

Agreed. I suspect a lot of the old FUD posters made so much money last year they've retired. Or perhaps they moved on to sexier projects. Who cares about #40 alt coin? We need a new gen of nay-sayers. This thread is boring, and the price moves when the market moves, regardless of Waves milestones. Full nodes release (Oct. 2016), DEX release (Feb. 2017), "fastest blockchain" upgrade (Dec. 2017). Nothing team actually does has yet affected a big break-out. Why will smart contracts be any different?

Every market spikes eventually, just some do more than others. WAVES will have it's time. Might be next month, might be next year.

The problem of DEX is only one, there is little interest among traders, but if you look at what is happening on centralized exchanges. The future for DEX is already certain.

In the future, decentralized exchanges will become very popular. Moreover, the waves will make atomic swaps. The wave exchange from this will become even more popular. We are waiting for large volumes.

It's not that popular right now because we use it to exchange waves, or waves' tokens, when popular projects will use waves to deploy their tokens we'll see an increase, then people will look at dex's potential and they will start trading other crypto as well (right now dash, eth, btc, bch, maybe they will add more crypto in the future)

Following Waves from a long time and thought it will be something, nevertheless its growing now, Sasha and team are working hard and its something nice to see. Hopefully DEX will get more tokens and creators use waves in this crypto boom.

As for the Waves project, I can not say anything bad, now the project team is working very hard to create smart contracts, which in the future will still be able to increase the functionality of the platform, like the ETH project

Yes, the market is fully saturated now, there aren't any big hidden gems anymore, crypto is becoming boring, lots of decent projects but too many choices available, we need the big shakeout to kill the crap, and send some of the remaining contenders to the moon, and others to tech purgatory where beta video ended up.

I was a fan of waves initially and i thought it will give tough competition to ethereum platform but to be honest, waves tokenization platform is still struggling to provide any value, secondly the major problem is very low and poor volume at its dex, so the tokens generated on waves are valueless and the team does not seem to promote their dex or somehow attract traders and increase the volume. Thirdly waves based tokens are not easily listed by other decent exchanges, i hardly know of any waves token listed and traded on mainstream exchanges. Waves should clear these issues as soon as possible.

Good luck to all who will be accepted. I have been sharing waves news on facebook and also a friend of sasha on facebook. I was excited to register as I'm willing to be part of the community as ambassador but it looks like my country isn't listed on the focus countries. Anyway I put my trust to the platform that it will somehow make it to be preferred platform for the blockchain projects.

Waves somehow sputtered during last week’s  rally due to Smart contract announcement. To my mind I assumed that this was what we had been waiting for but it was a flop sad to way , well keep on hodling as waves has still great potentials.

The answer can be smart contracts and dapps, it's the only way, those tokens will have value when will be associated with dapps. You can call it adoption if you want

I also think that this project has a bright future. Well, maybe things will not happen as quickly as we want. Too much competition among similar projects.
