i have no idea what they are about to do but if vostok is going to be using the wavesplatform then the users and businesses using this vostok will also pay waves fee per transaction, correct?

I read that Vostok is going to use Waves TECHNOLOGY, NOT the Waves platform itself, meaning there's nothing stopping Vostok from morphing into and open and closed version of itself, making Waves redundant. Doesn't mean it's going to happen, but why did Sasha keep quiet about his new project when it affects existing Waves holders? What else will he keep quiet about until the last moment? Seems only wealthy individuals can invest in Vostok. That also stinks, given they'll profit (if the project is successful) from technology Waves investors funded.

I think Waves is  completely undervalued comparing with ethereum. Sasha Ivanov is very progressive man. Waves have a great future. More and more projects will launch ICO on the Waves`s blockchain

Yes, but does a fancy website or a made up team make it more trusted? There are loads of scam coins around with vague promises but with only reason, to steal money from investors. I started this crowdfunding just so that everyone can invest in VST, simple and clear.

Sasha Ivanov is very progressive man.

Nothing progressive about using ordinary investors money to create technology that's then handed to wealthy people in a new project. All starting to reek of an endless money grab for him and his rich mates!

I am an original investor in Waves.. I will get 3% airdrop in the same way as anyone who purchased waves today  .  Yes this is a money grab by Sasha (and team), but it is the same shit all across crypto; token owners dont own anything except for the benefits of price speculation.

How does the gateway works regarding to the traceability of the Blockchain?

For example: I send ETH to my Waves wallet. ETH will "change" as wETH. Now I trade wETH to Monero (Does it called wXMR?). Then I withdraw wXMR to my desktop Monero wallet. Are all these steps traceable or is it anonymous?

Waves allows you to hold and transfer external currencies on its blockchain. This works through an established centralised Coinomat gateway: Bitcoins or any supported external coins are sent to a user's personal Waves address via standard transfer and after the deposit user receives BTC/ETH* tokens (wBTC/wETH*) on the Waves blockchain. Every single wBCT/wETH* tokens is backed 1:1 with a real BTC/ETH*. After creating withdrawal request, Bitcoins or any other supported external coins are transferred to the gateway side as wBTC (Waves BTC) tokens, then gateway processing them and finally sending as external BTC transaction, i.e. wBTC > Bitcoin gateway > BTC. For deposits, the process is repeating but in the opposite direction BTC > Bitcoin gateway > wBTC asset. You will receive coins to specified address, deposits and withdrawals may takes up to 120 minutes.

Vostok will be a ERP like solution with private chains so that major institutions/companies/banks can use it. Waves is a decentralized open blockchain and most institutions dont like this. The technology and code used for Vostok is based on Waves and therefore funded with ICO community funds. There are concerns in the Waves community that Waves holders will not benefit enough from this project and that the team can better focus it's priorities on the Waves platform improvements, rather than launching another project.

It is quite hard to tell about smart contracts before the release in comparative terms now. But the team is definitely working on that issue, as one of the main aims of smart contracts is to provide secure and trusted services to our users on the platform.

I noticed something about the waves dex. The volume keeps increasing quite alot, up from 1mm to over 5mm recently, this is while the big centralised exchanges are all down 70-80% in volume. Waves is quietly kicking alot of ass and the raw metrics show massive growth.
