sadly when they designed hubs they didnt have this sort of use in mind they imagined things like pendrives and stuff that uses hardly any power.

Yeahhh that is true, yet you would think that iff a company sells a hub that provides 3,5A that you can use that 3,5A, and not find out that its not possible to even have 1A

sadly the cheap ass components they use in the plug rules out what it was designed to do and what it can atually do.. most of these are made for pennies in some Chinese factory. the old term you get what you pay for comes to mind. i think they should be fined for not providing correct details on products but sadly theres not much average joe can do about stuff like this

UPDATE:

Bought a new hub, the Eruptor 49 usb HUB works like a charm!
