I see many posts complain about how to get merit so I have summed up some tips : you should do and should not do to be able to get merit.

1. You should

-QUALITY : Post good quality posts in the right topic to help each other
Rules and guidelines, You can consult : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

- POST REVIEW : Let your quatity posts review in topic where users want to give Smerit
Ex : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 or META....
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3048258.0

- ADD VALUE : There are topic where users ask some question. DO your search and hepl them. Like this page

- FOLLOW GIVEN SMERIT : It is possible to see who you have awarded with merits. So you can follow easy if there are new valueble posts by this person

2. You should not

- SELL/TRADE : do not sell or trade merit

- SPAM : do not overpost and spam the forum, especially do not sent private messages for merits. Do not spam post like " how to get merit? " bla bla...

- DUBLICATE TOPIC : Use the search function at the forum first before starting a topic

- QUANTITY : do not post because you want to reach a target, but post to creat value

You must try to find more information in the topic you want to learn. You can aggregate it to your post. You can post to help others or earn merit. It also helps increase your knowledge of crypto. Hard work, read and learn more is the only way to increase your knowledge and merit amount. Good luck

Asking legitimate and interesting questions can earn you some merit. Most of the discussions here are boring and is just a duplicate of one another.

To get the merits you do not have to think about it. You just need to communicate on the forum for topics in which you understand, answer questions, help beginners. The more you strain for the merits, the greater the likelihood that you will not get them!

More time on the forum. After all, you can find any information related to the economy, crypto currency! You do not just earn posts, but read the information you need, ask questions, there are a lot of experienced people on the forum who can help you

Do not think much about merit, things will be easier. Do what you think is right, help the newcomer, create articles that you think will help others.
Merit is only a small part, importantly you learn something from this forum

2. You should not

You should also not plagiarize your posts, steal from others. There's nothing against posting comments from others to generate discussion, just cite the original writer appropriately.

You should never ask for merit, period. That's likely to earn you some negative trust.
