if you look at the price development chart of the last two years, the beginning of the year always starts with a weakening price as if bitcoin will be destroyed, what I question is whether the pattern will return and continue to recur in the current year and the next few years?

It might however not the same way as how it happened for the recent years. This year could be better or not for crypto. We can just safely say that crypto is becoming main stream and more and more investors and traders are getting into crypto which is good for the market.

Yes, I believe that we shouldn't use the usual pattern as there are different situations or things that might happen that will become a huge factor affecting the price of it. We should not always expect and believe the patterns instead we should know how to ride with the trends.

BTC will always have the unpredictability trait but in the market, its price trend will always follow the law of supply and demand. We must have our own strategies and goal to beat the market fluctuations and manage the risks involved with it. The volatility could hurt an investor, it is futile to those who does not understand it.

Well, if you look at the chart in the last 6 weeks there was an almost exact same pattern, bitcoin dropped down to about $6,000 and then doubled to $12,000 over a couple of weeks. There is definitely a recurring pattern to bitcoins price changes, but I don't think these patterns drive future patterns.

That's right, if we look at the Bitcoin's price historical Chart then we can see this repeats many times "down in the begin of year and increase in the end of year".
In the begin of year, there are always two big events:
1.  News years of Chinese and some Asia countries ;
2.  Tax Day of United States.
Two events always affect to the crypto market because investors usually sell Bitcoin or altcoins which is holding to use for individual demand like: shopping for New Year in China and taxpayer in United States. So that will do the price of Bitcoin and the crypto market goes down. And then investors will go back the market on end of april, this will do the market go up again.
So i believe the price of Bitcoin will soon go up on May until end of 2018.

There's a possibility that bitcoin price will go up high by the end of the year, just like what happened last year, but don't expect the price of the last ATH's last year because I think it is too far from possibility. Yes, we can still consider it but expecting too much can hurt you.

Everything is always going to be under probability. Yeah, we can switch back to an uptrend before the end of the year, but the truth is how far we are going to go is one thing only time can tell. We have had a huge bear year at the starting of the year and the after effect is not something we should just expect some sudden recovery in price.

Nevertheless, we are in a market where surprises can happen but I personally would not be expecting so much, but whatever comes is good enough for me either bull or bear scenario.

You are right. CMC confirms that every first quarter has been so challenging in terms of altcoin's price until the financial year ends. By middle of July the bitcoin value would recover back to normal. As like last year the bitcoin value would go to the moon with its 60 percent growth compared to last December. We could see a minimum of $30K this year end.

You guys should stop deceiving yourselves, and no one can know anything. The thing here is that you cannot expect a bull run every year, and we will be lucky even if we get to hit the previous ATH.

Once a market has been hugely dumped, it always take some time for accumulation before we even start seeing any major uptrend. The good thing however is that it would come, but when is what no one can know. Anyone who is looking for moon this year though is absolutely expecting so much.

nothing impossible because crypto currency are always surprising and I sure crypto will repeat success like last year. day by day the price are continue to increase again, I think the hard time for crypto has passed and now the future of crypto begins to brighten again.

I am really thinking of the same thing. We still don't know but chances are really high that same thing could happen this year. Last year is the biggest year for Bitcoin so far because it is when its value gone skyrocket reaching a market value of 18000 usd from a market value of 1200usd in the beginning of that year.

This is what excites the investors and users more. Since the market value at this moment is currently low and in a line with that is the increase at this moment,investing is advisable. The market is now showing green and positive marks and if this situation will continue it is not possible that what happened last year will be repeated this year.

Then we can test this year, if the market booms again like it did last year then your theory will be proven, at the last quarter ,I know it will increase but another ATH is too far for now due to slow recovery

Well as we see the market, its giving us hope to believe that the possiblity that it can happen might be true, due to this recovering mode and increase that seems to happen the same month last year in  just a slowmo mode now.

It's been like this more times before than that december run. Just because we've had a pump like that doesn't mean that it'll happen annually. I'll be happy if we hit around 20k again this year but i think we have to be modest with our expectations as to not get burned.
