these days it's hard to keep track of how many bitcoin forks there are, but i was wondering what you think will become of some of them.

before fork season we already saw the willingness of morons to pump stuff like bitcoin plus and bitcoin dark on poloniex presumably because they have bitcoin glued to the name.

because of this i reckon a few of them will be subject to huge pumps in the future. many of them have incredibly low supply and the dumps are probably being bought up and tucked away by pumpers for the future. of course most will die and be forgotten.

are you storing them away or dumping immediately if you took the effort to claim them?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

of course they're all absolute crud.

but if you hadn't noticed absolute crud has been pumped to billions of dollars in certain cases.

this ain't about whether they're any good or not. it's purely about whether you reckon they will embark on some ridiculous pumps in the future.

Keeping some forks that you have is not bad decision either, you do not know when suddenly one of them will just pump and continue to pump, then the effort of keeping them is not wasted.

it is very difficult to beat the good name and big name bitcoin.bitcoin has won high trust in the eyes of the community. although many coins are trying to compete with bitcoin. all people believe bitcoin will remain at the peak

Bitcoin cash has obviously died. Kucoin delisting all of bitcoin cash pair, Okex has done the same as what already done by Kucoin.

No one was using it and it's completely non-sense garbage coin.

Just waiting for there will be so many shillers of bitcoin cash to attack this forum again. It can be a good measure of when the ridiculous pump will be happening again.

If I bought bitcoin fork or any other altcoin, then I sell it only in plus in 90% of cases. Even if it is a long-term investment for me.

I'm looking to ALL forks only like a free money and I'm usually dumping it at the moment I get it.
Also, I don't trust in any of those fork projects because in 90% devs are trying to make quick money.

I do not think Forks will be as effective as it was in 2017. The market is already suffering .

there've already been some crazy pumps in the earlier days but the markets and coins are so damn obscure i wasn't paying any attention to them. we really need to club together to pay some bored guy in an office to email us all when a price goes up by a big enough percentage.

Ok I am still holding 0,47 BTG waiting for moon... In my opinion Only BCH will have longer life and could be pumped in future.

it could be argued that because bcash is so big that may count against it when it comes to pumps. pumpers like small markets they have control over. it's a lot easier to corner something on a deadbeat exchange and send it to the moon single handed than something that's nearly everywhere.

The fact is that not all forks are so good. One of the bitkoin forks bcash is now very strong and very popular. The rest is just a faded shadow, and it's a risk to trade in this way for a short time.

I think only Bcash will survive from all Bitcoin fork,  it's has big support from influential people. If they keep pump it it will be alive.

As I know about 50 forks are planned for this year. It seems to me that these projects will not be successful. The only fork that has become successful is BCH. But this coin is very dangerous and should be used only for speculation.

The only good hard fork for bitcoin is bitcoin cash because bitcoin cash have bitcoin community behind it. Another hard for is just a joke or created to scam people. I dont care about they hard fork bitcoin but just dont pump and dump it. It will hurt community especially a new holder and investor.

And let's ask ourselves why we created forks in order to strengthen the positions of the bitcoin correctly. Ie bitcoin as was and was the best, and all these plugs are just a miserable likeness and a maximum one of them will be able to show something. Which, in principle, we are now observing.

Think I'm liking the cut of SBTC though. If the dev can deliver on all the features planned. We could be in for something truly great. But then, the question is IF...

All these coins, except BTH didn't achieve success. I don't even know their names, because I think that none of these coins will survive. They want to use the name of Bitcoin to get the interest of many people.

I think they have all have their days in the sun, most of them will not return to their previous high and some like some like BCash is likely to stay longer in the top because of people behind it, ROger has money to pump it but not because they are coming up with actual development, just occasional pump and dump

I think Bitcoin forks will not grab alot of attention in the future, because there are too many forks in the last couple of months. People just want to make some quick money with an easy bitcoin fork.... More people will come and flood the market more!

Bitcoin forks are a great idea for the future of Crypto because they improve the capabilities of coins coming into the market with subtle improvements on the original BTC. The capabilities and adaptation can go either way. They all have some sort of improvement they're bringing to the market such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold etc. Even saw recent chatter about a Bitcoin Origin, which looks like it might have a ton of potential, if they can pull off the improvement leaps they're attempting.

Have a look at this:

I think the future is waiting for him is the same as the many coins at the current cryptocurrency market, as every one of them is already slightly raised and can't get out of the crisis, that is why.

This is so true. I just heard of this new Bitcoin fork called Bitcoin Origin. Apparently it's a "Penta-fork" from the top 5 coins. Thoughts on this one? Not quite getting the idea of their Proof of Ambassador consensus algorithm, so any help would be appreciated, if you've heard of this one. https://www.bitcoinorigin.io/ is their home page with the whitepaper, team and everything else you'd be interested in looking at.

Hey there, I have been hearing the talks about this Multi fork. It's sounds like they talk a 'BIG' talk on their a new approach to the Blockchain technology.
Introducing innovative such as Proof of Ambassador consensus protocol, Multi- state engine and serveless Blockchain. I will admit that now I have never heard of these innovatives before I am still unsure about this fork but it is worth looking into.

Bitcoin forks will die sooner or later. As we see it, they are just taking advantage of the name and hoping for newbies to jump on it. Only BCH has some potential and can survive in the long term as it was the first major BTC fork and actually had some changes from the original. All other are just hoping for any media attention and hype because of their association with Bitcoin and you should stay away from them or only consider them for the very short term trading.

From what I understand their Proof of Ambassadorship is a hybrid consensus approach to Proof of Authority and Proof of Stake. This was mentioned in their position paper, but other than what's explain in the paper, its still unclear as to how exactly it will function. I think it's an interesting consensus to consider however. I like the idea that their alt coin is totally self funded. It makes the whole project that much more transparent and trustworthy.

I think bitcoin forks are going to be less and less done. Only a minority of people are trading them. They have no real use and are only used to scam people.

The only good bitcoin fork was Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold, all the others have been pretty shitty, and they  were not even profitable to the founder of them, so for me, the only good ones were those.

This coin can continue its popularity quite well, and will move a little further, because now everything is located just under it, we are waiting for a big development from this coin.
