Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has confirmed it will deliver its first batch of wallets next month, following a successful crowdfunding campaign that began in June.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Any information about what the consumer version will cost? Will it be close to the $100 of the initial preorder price?

I have some on order and can't wait to get them!

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Trezor is a bit too expensive, especially for people who have less than 1 BTC in their wallets. However, I think a lot of experienced users will go for it due to the added security.

I love the concept but for what the product is offering the price is far too steep. It doesn't even have wireless syncing, so the entire device is actually pretty simple. I'm sure  that people are going to come out with cheaper versions of this very very soon, and these guys will be forced to lower the $100 pricetag.

First/Early adopters always pay more.  But, we get to say "look at my cool new gizmo!"

Hmm... people who pre-ordered their mining rigs from Butterflylabs were also telling the same.  Grin

BTW... I think the only negative point with Trezor is its pricing.
