Hi, I have been a part of this community since 2013. I was importing equipment from various suppliers in China (Bitmain Antmainer, LKETC Dragon Miner, etc), mining and selling it locally. I took a break for a while and am now getting back into it on a much larger scale.

Apparently, my original account became locked because I did not reset my password in time. When I try and log in, I receive the following message:

Quote
Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked. Email react-vdnp8@theymos.e4ward.com to get it unlocked.

I have emailed the address 3 times with no response.

I don't mind using the new account but would really like to get the newbie warning removed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Greg

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Do you have a staked address in the forums that you could sign a message from? that could speed things up and If you're referring to the red message people receive when you P.M them, then it will only be removed when you rank up.

Did you mention your Btc address anywhere in your account?
Or have you posted a unedited btc address post from your old account?
If you had done any one of this, sign the message using the address.

If you have done the above send one PM to Cyrus with following format

Quote
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
My account <account> has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to <email>. The current date is <date>.
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ...
OR
I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#...

If Cyrus doesn't respond to your PM after 2 weeks passed, message Theymos

Unless you haven't proved ownership of your account, they can't help you in recovering it.  Tongue

It's better to read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

And maybe they can help you out.

If you can't prove the ownership of the account expect that you will never get your account back.

If you didn't stake a bitcoin address here in the forum it would be hard to recover your account back.

I suggest that better you stay with your new account

if your issue is a limited post or warnings like what you said I suggest you upgrade your account to a copper member to reduce the post limits, but you need to pay bitcoin to be able to upgrade your account to the copper member. Check this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
