I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised by this. I guess because when I started mining RVN diff was 27K everything below has been a gift.

If it really bothers you just buy coins in the interim, or be happy pulling in whatever and continue to hold.

Don't get me wrong I'm hoping they make adjustments similar to what was done for Bcash when it was going through the same issue.

The problem is that at some point, the ones who actually hold the network (us) will get tired of being screwed like this and will quit mining the coin. At that point, in a case of 40K difficulty you'll have hashrate of maybe 2-3 GHz and you'll never end 2016 blocks to get it back down.

That is the moment a coin dies Smiley.

I remember something similar happening with Electroneum after it forked the Cryptonight algorithm and it went from ASICs to GPUs. For the first 2 days the difficulity was too high for the few GPU miners to handle it and the devs themselves had to purchase NiceHash power!

You have no idea how quick you can destroy a coin with huge potential when acting bullish Smiley

I've never bothered with NiceHash... how can you see the hashrate that they provide? Do you have to be registered?

Clearly manipulation...

It's not only NiceHash, MiningRigRentals, also WinMiner and several other multi-algo miners. All of them jumps from coin to coin as they see low diff....
Devs have to somehow look at the diff retarget in order to counter this madness.

Very disappointing Angry, I had expectations that a currency would hold market value of at least 40 million
Probably missing something a little bigger in this project than adding it to cryptopia.

In Coinmarketcap you are missing 400 million coins. that would mean a 36 million market value.

who from the devs thought, when they introduced the coin, that a diff change after 2000 blocks was a good idea Sad

Lot more buying pressure at cryptopia than crypto-bridge.  Selling pressure is down a good bit.  Volume ( the most important thing IMHO) is down a bit but still 10 times what it was averaging just a week ago.  It is picking up on cryptopia which mean more awareness.  All in all a great week for RVN.

If the asset layer testing goes well this could see some real interest.

Would luv to see RVN used to register land in Zambia.  But honestly I am not holding my breath that RVN will be the block-chain used.

Use Ravencon to purchase real estate - good, positive news. But bitcoin or ether can also be used for these purposes, this task does not Ravencon unique. I would like to see a platform or project that gave Ravencon unique sense of use. That is what would give a significant increase in prices.
