I too felt that there was an anomaly in the 1% fee being charged.  A review of my payout minutes revealed the following over a random 12 hour period:

Minute 43,44,46,44,47,47,44,47,48,49, 50 and 50   Total minutes 60 X 12 = 720 minutes X 1% = 7.2 minutes.

After doing the math it seems close enough.  Not nearly as wrong as I first thought.

Greetings RVN group,

I just started mining RVN on Enemy 1.08 this Saturday and everything was fine until today when the miner went down. I wasnt able to get to the miner until a couple hours later.  I got a message on the screen that said windows had a problem and stopped the program from running. I'm new to mining and didn't think much of it and started the program backup again. About 30-45mins later...same problem. So now i have it back up and seems to be running fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Ill post a picture of the message if and when it happens again.

Hi Nate and welcome.
Try going into Windows Defender. See if it is picking up your miner as a virus or threat. If it is, clear it as ok.
Let us know.

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

Thank you for the recommendation, I checked the Defender and apparently it doesn't se it a threat. But while i was eating dinner Windows decided to freeze up, mouse wouldn't move, keyboard did nothing, and the miner program was froze...However this time No message from windows. But that maybe because I caught it early. I turned down my OC settings from +100core and +500memory to +85 and +485, i didnt mention it before becuase I was told by a friend whom has more experience with mining that +100 and +500 is a starting point and to go up from there to get the most out of the GPU's. Currently im running 4 - 1080ti Aorus....just checked the Hash....96Mh/s...wow thats higher then before...average was 73 - 75Mh/s

What PL%?
I see it - 85%? Try running with min or no OC.
Also, check out this test goin on right now with 1080TIs https://ravenforum.org/topic/32/enemy-1-08-various-settings-test-results/2

I tried checking out www.ravenforum.org...seems like the site is down...it wont load up for me  Undecided

I've re-linked it. This guy on Ravenforum runs interesting tests.
https://ravenforum.org/topic/32/enemy-1-08-various-settings-test-results

From his test:
Enemy 1.08 various settings - Test Results

For this test: I used a single 12 GPU 1080Ti rig on Windows split into three mining instances. All three mining instances were balanced to get as close to the same hash rate as possible. Each mining instance is running at the same time on the same machine on the same pool .

The instances/rig are managed by Awesome Miner, which restarts the miners for various reasons, based on rules I set.

Static pool diff set to 66, miner intensity set to 21

The plan is to do three rounds of testing, each round lasting approximately 8-12hrs, at the conclusion of each round I'll rotate the miner to a new instance, until each miner has had a chance to run on each instance. I'll also normalize the results to averaged blocks found per round.

Miner details:
Enemy 1.08 - 1% dev fee

Round 1 - 131 Blocks Found - Duration: 720 minutes (one restart for "80% TDP / +250 mem")

[Instance 1] Normalized: 147.40 RVN / Raw: 155.72 RVN - (80% TDP / No overclock) Pool Link
[Instance 2] Normalized: 142.50 RVN / Raw: 150.54 RVN - (80% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link
[Instance 3] Normalized: 152.37 RVN / Raw: 160.97 RVN - (100% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link

Notes: I'm not sure why, but (80% TDP / +250 mem) generally had the largest deviation between miner reported hash rate and pool reported hash. Miner reported hash rate for all three instance tended to be very close, with less than a 10% spread (typically ~5%) from high/low.

Round 2 - 112 Blocks Found - Duration: 671 minutes (No Restarts)

[Instance 1] Normalized: 157.09 RVN / Raw: 141.89 RVN - (100% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link
[Instance 2] Normalized: 146.90 RVN / Raw: 132.68 RVN - (80% TDP / No overclock) Pool Link
[Instance 3] Normalized: 145.39 RVN / Raw: 131.32 RVN - (80% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link

Round 3 - 129 Blocks Found - Duration: 633 minutes (No Restarts)

[Instance 1] Normalized: 139.23 RVN / Raw: 144.84 RVN - (80% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link
[Instance 2] Normalized: 143.31 RVN / Raw: 149.09 RVN - (100% TDP / +250 mem) Pool Link
[Instance 3] Normalized: 133.23 RVN / Raw: 138.60 RVN - (80% TDP / No overclock) Pool Link

Normalized Average Results

#1 - 150.92 RVN (100% TDP / +250 mem)
#2 - 142.51 RVN (80% TDP / No overclock) [ -5.58% ]
#3 - 142.37 RVN (80% TDP / +250 mem) [ -5.67% ]

Raw Average Results

#1 - 150.65 RVN (100% TDP / +250 mem)
#2 - 142.33 RVN (80% TDP / No overclock) [ -5.52% ]
#3 - 142.23 RVN (80% TDP / +250 mem) [ -5.59% ]

You can see from the tests above, your TDP is more important than OC.
I'm running my own little test with my 5 rigs - 26 1070Ti's Seeing the difference between 75%, no OC; 75% +150+200; and 85%,+150,+200. In each case I'm running 12hours and looking at the Avg Hash Rate from the mining pool (Virtopia). So far at 75% - OC added almost no increase. 85% is half way through and is up slightly. But it doesn't look like the extra electrical draw and ware/tear on the GPU is going to be worth the small increase. I'll see in a few hours.

Any info about today's AMA with developers?

RVN/BTC@cryptobridge < 400 sats already, seems like people are impatient and sell - no wonder, new alts season started and RVN doesn't care  Grin

Also BTC has gone pretty high up again.

Raven is still in it's infancy. Price vs USD is stable. No use in reporting it to BTC since you all mine it for the USD Smiley

I still believe in what they want to build and i'm expecting some big moves toward the end of the year.

Dang WickedPigeon...thats pretty awesome.  Cheesy Seems like OC is a waste, as is relates to RVN hash. I'll change my TDP and see what results I have. By the way, where do i go to adjust the GPU intensity? Right now I'm running at 20, I see a few people are 21 with some interesting results.

For the first time for curiosity I looked at team which was surprising for me. A team of great developers are working to take this project which is experimental but indicated its future position already. let's say one year is sufficient to expect something visible in its value. Being backed by big investors RVN coin has leg over many projects.

your end game is still USD. whatever you may think you mine it for. As long as you don't have prices in BTC but rather in USD or related to USD than you actually mine it for the USD.

If tomorrow Raven would be 0.5 BTC but BTC would be 1 dollar you would still mine it but not because of the 0.5 BTC but because of the 0.5 USD that it gives you in your day to day activities.

Personally for me it's wrong to have it report to BTC as long as everyone looks at how much a BTC is in USD.

New to RVN here. Looks like a promising project and good forum discussions. I have read over many of the last pages but the answers I am looking for seem kinda dated or conflicting. I have a few questions please:

I know Algos and Miners change and are updated often, so as of Right Now:

What is the best Raven Coin Miner?
-Nevermore, CCMiner(what version) or Z-enemy 1.08?

What are some great pools? I have been using CryptoPool Party (cheesy I know! but good returns and I like the 4 hr payouts). It has usually 2k workers and 70-90 G/hash. What other options are there? I like Medium size pools with clear block payouts and hash feedback.

I can tell that OCing the algo is crazy for x16r. My hash rates are sometimes all over the map. I have a 6x1080ti rig so in general I run ccminer with +75 Core / +600 Mem -i=20. Seems to be stable, but I wonder if that's even right reading these threads? I see a lot of people with undervolting the Memory. Everytime I try that I lose several hashes? Is the intensity wrong at 20?

Thanks Guys and Gals!!!
