Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

FYI - there will be a Raven Coin meetup in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 7th.  It is free to attend and will be livecast as well.  Lead developer for Raven Coin, Tron Black, will be doing a Q&A.  Also speaking will be Bruce Fenton and Overstock's Patrick Byrne.

https://twitter.com/Ravencoin/status/991361386252062720

Should be a good source of information for those interested in the coin.

I so want to go - will you make it?

Well, is it faster than 1.0.9? And by how much?

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

I will hodl until 800 sat, then sell little bit for electricity bills and hodl further. IMO, this coin is going to be big in 1-2 years. Selling at these prices could be big regret!!

Work for me.

Very stable and low power use.  Left running for three days straight on five rigs.  One with problematic Gigabyte 1070 ti card that crash with other miners - getting ready to pull off and put on troubleshoot motherboard.  Ran without crashing.

You should read this sentence carefully he explained about his plan in simple words. This coin has very large community so in future this will get more attention at the moment this is under the radar but with marketing campaign it should go the moon.

What settings and pool are you using? And which brand model 1080TI?

Settings : +85 core, +500 mem
Pool: ravenminer
Model 1080TI: Aorus

I think you're too aggressive with your mem setting.
Read JackIT's testing on 1080TI's
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3385643.0
https://ravenforum.org/topic/32/enemy-1-08-various-settings-test-results
https://ravenforum.org/topic/34/enemy-1-08-100-tdp-no-oc-vs-250-mem

You just don't pick up enough extra coins to make aggressive OC worth while, especially if you get any crashes or resets.

I have the same model and running at +125 core +490 mem for months now. Stable on enemy miner.

I'm not asking him precisely for how long does he want to hodl, it was a general remark, haven't you read carefully?  Wink
