For such a global system of work, it must be independent of regulatory jurisdictions. The idea of the team is decent, I'm waiting for news.

That's not easy to do. The system itself might not be subject to all of those regulatory jurisdictions, but the people using it will be.

They lack patience, they want to become rich by tomorrow that's why most of them fail. They buy high sell low or just sell everything and move to another project because this one is not moving. Usually they are too lazy to read the whitepaper as well so they don't understand the potential behind Ravencoin.

Step 1. Backup the old wallet so you will have a backed up .dat file

Where is that option in wallet? i have only "make a copy of the wallet" is that it?

Is it possible to lose all coins if i do something wrong?

Here is what I do (in Windows):

-stop the wallet
-open file explorer and goto "%appdata%" (this assumes you let it install in the default path when first run)
-copy the "raven" directory someplace (to save space, you only need the wallet.dat file in there, the rest is re-generated when you start the wallet)
-double check what you copied matches what was in the source directory.

I also make sure to run the wallet on a second computer at all times.  So take this "raven" directory (you really only need the wallet.dat file since the other stuff will soak up a lot of space) and place it in the %appdata% location.  Then put the raven-qt file on your desktop and start it.  It will then begin loading the block files  in your new %appdata%\raven directory and your coins balance will eventually appear when enough of the blockchain is read in.

I instaled new wallet on new pc, copy wallet.dat from old pc and that's it?i see my coins.

Ravencoin is open source project which is being built on strong fundamentals of which everyone should be aware of. When we talk about cryptocurrencies making money is first thing comes into mind that is true. You must be aware of the basics and purposes of creation of thing your skin is in so latest article is for everyone. It is bit lengthy but worth to be read.

Alright, 1855 blocks remaining until I start mining RVN again. Glad to hear that the difficulty issue will be resolved.

What if anything do we need to do to properly mine on the new setup? Is it a fork or just a seemless edit?

I'm surprised the developers didn't see this issue when the project started. I mean of course nicehash and other miners are going to rush when the difficulty is low for the 1000 odd blocks, jamming up the difficulty when the next retarget hits, causing everyone to bail.

Most other coins do every block retargeting to get around it, so good to see raven forking Smiley

Ugh...net hash is pretty gross right now.   What do you think it averages out at after DGW is in place?  Was it about 1TH before the swings started occurring?

Lol Craig Wright aint Satoshi. Go read Satoshi’s posts and the white paper. Craig Wright is an attention seeking scammer and Satoshi was the opposite. Doesn’t make sense

I don't know why but I tend to lean towards Hal Finney being Satoshi.

Friend of mine has still the "old" wallet and is on holiday right now. The fork will already be done, when he is back.
In his holidays no transfers from or to his wallet will happen.

Did I understand the upper description correctly?:
He can update his wallet after the fork, but he have to be sure not to move, transfer or mine any coins to/from this wallet on the old chain in the time between the fork and the point where he perform the wallet update?

What happens if he synch the wallet on the old chain. Can he still update to the new chain? (without any transfers in the meantime, as described above!)

Is the following procedure correct:
1. Backup wallet (without synch???)
2. Download and install new version
3. Import wallet?
4. Synch
