when 10 cents

October 22, 2018 - where were you?

It wasn't 10 cents... it was 1045 satoshis or 6.7 cents at its highest peak the day you are mentionning. I know you only made a typo because I know you closely follow RVN Smiley

Don't you think RVN was a bit overhyped back then?
Sure it might reach 10 cents in the future, but I would like that to happen because of an ACTUAL product and not because of hopium.

According to this website FPGA's officaly comes on x16r coins in spring. If you think a bit some must be having this x16r bitsream already and are mining.

Please help me!
i donwload the win64 wallet , BUT IS SAYS "SYNCING HEADERS  1 YEAR AND 0 WEEK BEHIND" are there any way to make it fast ?
second thing : i tried to use web wallet , did already create account , but i could not sign in again?

Anyone have any ideas about this issue? Previous versions of wallet updated in just a few minutes, now this one updates in forever. Is there a way around this? Reinstalled from scratch wallet, have the wallet.dat and backup files safe but increase in sync is at 1.8% per hour. Used to see hundreds % before.

You need version raven-2.2.0.0-win64 or newer.

why don't you really read before answering? We both have the newest version.

Ok so now we have official proof of these existing. How do we go about removing them?

No seriously: does anybody know if there are FPGA resistant algos?

Please don't take me wrong, I don't mean to "steal" people from Ravencoin, but I believe the devs could use the algorithm we developed for the XDNA project, HEX.

A few days ago I posted an open invitation to the team,

Dear Ravencoin developers, if you want to move from x16r and implement HEX algorithm which is only minable with GPUs, we would gladly help you with a smooth implementation.

HEX has strong support from Enemy Miner (Nvidia) and WildRig Multiminer (AMD) and is not just "not yet minable" from FPGAs, but the constant and unpredictable variation in its internal algorithms should decrease the effectiveness of any possible ASIC/FPGA in comparison to GPUs.
Plus... in this bear market I doubt any miner developer would spend much time to develop an FPGA miner for so few people and for only a marginal gain.

More info on HEX can be found in this article: https://steemit.com/crypto/@hitmancro/xdna-have-new-mining-algorithm-hex
And in XDNA's whitepaper, page 19: https://xdna.io/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/XDNA_Whitepaper_ENG.pdf

Even though our projects' goals are different, we'd be glad to collaborate on our common goal to share the wealth evenly between people! Smiley
Feel free to PM me if you want me to put you in contact with our developers, since I'm part of the marketing team.

Guys I want to ask You about mining efficiency.

I'm using z-enemy miner 1.28 and mine with GTX 1070 + 200 core + 0 mem latest drivers Version   417.35 - WHQL,Release Date Wed Dec 12, 2018

Power consumption by each card is about 145W with efficiency 0.99 to 0,16 MH/W depending on current algo (on Power target +0)

I have switched power target to -30% and now power consumption is 102W/1GPU and efficiency is from 0.086 to 0.18 and I have seen even 0.24MH/W

The problem is that i can see significant drop in mined coins and my question is what settings do You use and/or recommend if I want to mine as many RVN as I can with energy wise settings?

there are some things developers can do for sure to create algo FPGA or ASIC resistant for example the BTCZ dev team has changes BTCZ algo when ASICS on equihash came out but ...we need time for that if devs decide that this needs to be done

Use Trex 0.9.1, and try +15 Vcore, 85% TDP, +100mhz core, -300mhz mem. That is what I used and with my GTX 1070ti, its the same settings except +150 mhz core.

Those links are proof that the company wants them to exist, but the download page for the X16R bitstream says that it should be available Spring 2019.  That could be true, or it could be hype to drive sales.  While there very well could be FPGA's currently ready for RVN, I wont trust sites like Zetheron that say they have or will have a bitstream available until the download is actually available.

Unfortunately, we read stories about people who lost their money invested in cryptocurrencies in a bear market. We should in all forums warn new supporters about the risks of losing all the money invested. Whatever no one buys for money, the loss of which will upset them.

Are you sure?
I known that Cryptopia is located in New Zealand, not Singapore.

In the meantime, Binance is preparing a crypto to fiat exchange option.

some trading platforms going down doesn't mean crypto are going down. Did you say the same thing about the stock market?

when institutional money comes flowing into bittrex and binance and the bull return (and bots) to the exchanges, HOLD ON TO YOUR TITS!

it'll be a pumptastic party!  Cheesy

and you can bet RVN will be one of the coins to fly (prob help if idiot miners stopped dumping so much tho lol).
