people will tell you invest in Btc and ETH .However, those 2 at max won't get more than 2x . so my advice ,invest in coins that have lost most of it value But also a solid project . i can't tell you names as you have to make your own research and pick some for at least 5x.

First you should do a research about many coins. Find which is the leading ICOs and read about their project and If you have a hypothesis that their project will be a success. Then go for it. But Please do a deep research so that you won't lose your money.

I think zilliqa is also a good choice. Zil has raised the idea of sharding which can enhance the transaction speed of Ethereum a lot.

Buy minimum 2 different coins, and in my opinion all coins in top 10 ranking in Coinmarketcap is very good option, and if you would like to chooce 2 different coins only, XLM and NEO has most strong fundamental and has potential to continue growing.

If you really want to be very profitable then start investing into the undervalued coins like ADA, XRP, NEM, IOTA and SCL, JNT etc. This is long list and you should do just fine with them. Considering the high valued coins you can always trust the ETH in this regard and upto some extent you can own NEO coin too. This portfolio would be just fine for yourself to get started with crypto currencies this year. The market is already dropped a lot and whatever trade values you will see currently are dropped values and thus makes it sure that they will spike in the time to come.

i put my 1k in the recent dip into 40% litecoin 30% eth 20%ripple 10% sia hopefully markets go up now would like to invest in btc but its too high to get a return with low amounts so staying away from it these days

If you're willing to take a lot of risk for very very high rewards, you should look into Devery (EVE). It currently has a tiny market cap, but MainNet is already done. Also they have a partnership with JD.com, a giant retailer (3rd worldwide I believe).
