Many people still have a different expectation on GRC ...
So far most activity in coins has been buyers speculating on miner's issues and shortterm commercial appeal e.g. pumpability of a coin. Soon there will be mainstream interest in coins probably, along with opinions and publicity based on very high levels of scrutiny. Coins like GRC should start doing much better than the coins that have been pumped on big name developers, ico's etc. Look at all of the coins more expensive than GRC, currently # 73 / 49 on cmc top 100 / all. Most of those higher market cap coins have been inflated by their supporters to gain market share and visibility, while grc has no pumpers, nobody has manipulated the price temporarily upward for short term profit as with many other coins. - Some advice for people buying coins like this. If you are a new person wanting to buy a coin, you don't need to rush in and push the price up, since the price will usually just drop back down eventually. If you buy some then put an order in to buy more at a slightly higher price, then usually you can wait a day or two and you will get the order filled, you will get more coins for the same amount of money. Not always, but usually.

I also bought some GRC coin but the price of GRC is not moving may be we have to wait. I hope GRC is a long term investment where we can make some huge if we kept on holding the coins may be.

Do you have BOINC installed on the same machine where you installed Gridcoin Wallet? If so, Wallet should detect your BOINC installation and your CPID automatically (CPID:INVESTOR means that Wallet was unable to determine your CPID). You must join the Gridcoin team for every BOINC project you are running. For example, if you are crunching for Einstein@home, you must go to https://einsteinathome.org, log in to your account and choose the Join Team option there.

thanks for reply. I used pool gridcoin.co
In that case, CPID:INVESTOR is normal because you are using pool's CPID, not your own. Also, there is another pool which is more actively developed: www.grcpool.com

That will vary a TON depending on the project, but I suspect you're not going to see a lot of coin/day on ANY of the GRC whitelisted projects. For perspective, a little over 2 million RAC on Moo Wrapper gets me less than 200 GRC/day, and needs roughly 15 Gigakeys/sec of Dnet RC5-72 keyrate to achieve. This particular project is VERY friendly to AMD GPUs though recent NVidia GPUs do quite well too (it's pretty much ALL about the number of cores and the clock rate), while the fastest CPUs ever managed less than 10 MEGAkeys/sec per core. Other BOINC projects in the GRC whitelist are friendlier to NVidia GPUs, and I think there are a few that are CPU friendly (your i7 should do comparably well on those). Unlike most cryptocoins, GRC doesn't work with a single "algorithm", in effect it has about 30 of them to chose from.

Well I have no idea how your "2 million RAC" compares to my i7 laptop so I am still clueless . But still, thanks for taking the time for replying to me

Some trivia In late March 2016 Google searches for the term 'gridcoin' spiked very briefly and quickly fell back. But from 2 weeks ago til the last measurement 'gridcoin' searches are at a high that lasted over 2 weeks. For the first time ever two weeks ago there were briefly more searches for 'gridcoin' than for 'boinc'. https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%2012-m&q=boinc,gridcoin
