Bittrex are just hiding themselves behind the "market volatility" excuse, but the truth is that their platform software doesn't work, and they are responsible for that.
I want to gather people that were in the same case, with proofs (like screenshots) to raise a class action against Bittrex' scammers.
We live in free countries and have rights, we don't live in North Korea !
If we gather our forces we can succeed to have our rights respected.
You might want to read the "Terms"... specifically clauses #18 and #19...
18. INDEMNITY
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bittrex and our affiliates, independent contractors and service providers, and each of our respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, and affiliates (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) from any claim, demand, action, damage, loss, cost or expense, including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out or relating to (a) your use of, or conduct in connection with, our Services; (b) any Feedback you provide; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of any other person or entity. If you are obligated to indemnify us, we will have the right, in our sole discretion, to control any action or proceeding and determine whether we wish to settle it, and if so, on what terms.
19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR, AND YOU RELEASE THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES FROM, ALL DAMAGES, COSTS AND LIABILITIES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES OR BITTREX MATERIALS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, ECONOMIC, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, EVEN IF AN INDEMNIFIED PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, WHETHER ACTIVE, PASSIVE OR IMPUTED), PRODUCT LIABILITY, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES AND/OR CONTENT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU TO BITTREX DURING THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE DATE OF ANY CLAIM GIVING RISE TO SUCH LIABILITY. The foregoing disclaimer of warranties, disclaimer of certain damages and limitation of liability will apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The laws of some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. To the extent that those laws apply to these Terms, the exclusions and limitations set forth above may not apply to you.
Which basically state that you won't (can't) hold Bittrex liable for any losses incurred by using their services... which seems to be exactly what has happened. *shrug*
