Need help quick

Hi All,
I've done quite a bit of research and want to buy some btc. I live in canada. I'm not interested in meeting someone random in a coffeeshop since Im planning to spend several thousands on it.
The best exchange i could find was bitstamp. I've spend hours reseaching this question.
My problem is in the transfering money to bitstamp to buy btc. Wiring money would cost $70 and if Im gonna do it in 5-6 incriments its gonna cost $420.
I like bitstamp and dont want to use any small local exchanges.

What's the best way to get cash to bitstamp?

My friend is using Cavirtex to buy BTC in Canada.
If you live in Vancouver, there's a brand spanking new BTC ATM there

Cavirtex? Isn't Canada like the easiest place in the world to buy BTC?
