Maybe you guys should use the best of both worlds. Use the original logo then for the wallet and other things use those other awesome designs, that Quark wallet looks really nice.

Here are some starting concepts from our team. We have approached it from a more traditional currency look and have worked on keeping the logo so it could be represented as an ascii character which would help strengthen the brand.

We will be developing one or more of these logos and adding the additional elements. Just thought we would see if anyone had any feedback on our basic concepts.

While some of the the concepts are similar I went ahead and numbered them so that if you want to comment on a specific one it is easy to identify.

This is more a tweak of the original bringing in the green to balance out the red and blue these 3 colours generally appear on most of the  "quark" diagrams I've seen. The colours pop slightly more so still looks good in small scale this logo is completely .svg format so is entirely scalable with minimal gloss, shadows etc.

like it, it looks clean - if we look at the original but it had no green - so i was wondering why it looked "Christmas"  i think we need the lose the Green ? pretty much altogether ?

Oh wow! Love these! Only small suggestion I have is to maybe make the "quark" font a little heavier, maybe even just on the "q". Or even a slightly different font.

Looks good though. Very stylish and modern.

Now I'm torn between this and cryptoBoomer's lol.
