Pre Sale vs Public Sale

ICO’s conducted pre sale to be able to collect more funds in their projects, and also to know how much support they will get in the community, if they success then they will proceed to public sale where they can buy coins or token with higher revenue, a wise investor buy coins at public sale mostly to assure their investment or money.

If bonuses are higher on pre sale, why do so many people wait for public sale?   I seen thrive get a huge jump on public sale?  I don't understand?

Usually there's not much information about presale and most people just know about the project near the public sale, also presale often requires you to invest a large amount of money while you can invest any amount at public sale. People also prefer public sale beacuse they want a guarantee that the ico will be successful rather than invest at presale then the project doesn't reach the softcap, their money will be refunded but they lose a lot of time and potential of other ico.

I think that only when projects with successful pre-sales can participate in their public sales, because if the previous period is not successful, it means that the project itself has problems, not necessarily a quality project, and participating in public sales is more secure. However, the valuation of many projects is too high and the unit price is too high. There is no reasonable valuation.

This is what we need, assurance. For us, we need to be assured in order for us to join an ICO right? Who wouldn't? People needs assurance on the project itself to boost his confidence in buying from the token sale.

I agree it is mostly about the first part , you can see it is a measurement of how good the ICO is perceived.

Pre-sales are always more expensive. I prefer to see real demand figures before my eyes. If the price of markers is reduced I buy them at the bottom and wait for the price increase. The bottom prices are low so I'm not afraid to lose my investment. If I'm lucky and the price will recover then I have the opportunity to earn good money.

Pre-Sales always have a high minimum contribution
and not many people who want to invest are able to invest that much.
and measurements if the project will succeed of fail.
if there are many people joining in pre-sales the public sales will also go up.

Of course when people who interest on pre-sale and public sale have their own reason as long as it's fit for their objective

Personally I prefer pre sale because I want to achieve more profit !

In these times presale may or may not be a clever choice if you have the funds. Recently numerous ICO's took place with ETH capped at around $500....while in presale eth was still worth $1000 or more. This makes it hard to know for sure what route is the best....especially with those multi million hard caps...

The presale is much better than a public sale in many aspects because it has more bonuses but the risks are greater because you have to wait longer than the public sale so the price of bitcoin that you bought for the presale can increase or decrease making your investment risky since you cant predict the future.

On presale give more bonus but also more hard conditions. As a rule it a big cap. Not everyone can invest several thousand dollars, so they wait public sale when individual cap will be comfortable. Besides after presale you can see is it was successful or not. Less risk.

because if you invest in pre-sale you have to invest your money with a large amount, while your public sales can invest your money with any amount. therefore people prefer public sales rather than pre sale.

It is simple most of pre-sale tokens sale are capped and if one is looking to invest $1000 and the minimum one can invest in pre-sale is $5000, then what do you do, wait for Public sale. This was not so before until greed crept into the space and this is one of the effect of capitalism, money dictate the pace

If you want special bonuses then you have to go through presale option as it gives more privileges to investors rather then public sale. Presale comes much before public sale and it gives higher bonuses but require more funds to invest.

Well some pre-sales required a minimum investment capital. Hence, some people got to wait till the public sale to invest. Another reason might be because some people got to know about the project after pre-sale.

I think they wait for presale success or not, even if presale give a lot of bonus than public sale, currently there are a lot of scam ICO try to steal investor fund, so it's normal when you see most of the investor wait for public sale start, other reason is presale minimum contribute amount very high

Pre sale is like testing the waters and many ico hinge their success on the success of their pre sale. This concept of using presale to determine the outcome of the public sale is what made a lot of investors to wait so that for the presale to succeed first. Once pre sale is successful then the public sale will sell off and the project declared a success.
