Considering the most likely scenario, in most people's minds, is still going to zero.. you'd have to say "yes".

I'll take $0 four out of five days a week though, and $100k/coin the fifth day.   Cheesy

Eventually there will be some kind of unforseen circumstance or protocol failure, for example EC is cracked. It's not a question of if btc is going to $0, but when, how long we will be able to milk the cow/bull, to how high, if we will be able to replace btc with a new protocol , and if we will somehow be able to transfer the users' funds.

So the thread should be "will $200 be the new support during btc's lifespan"

Also, it depends on which exchange. Take the silk road incident: gox went to 110, bit stamp went to 85, and btce went to 75.

I can honestly say I have no idea what the hell is going on. I still have buy orders set at $86/BTC that were close to being taken up on CampBx just a month ago.

First seastead company actually selling sea homes: Ocean Builders https://ocean.builders  Of course we accept bitcoin.

We aren't going to just wake up one day and read the news that the EC has been cracked.  First of all, we will see the technology capable of doing that years before it is available. Second, if bitcoin grows eventually there is going to be so much powerful interest involved that there is going to be plenty of protections and plenty of planning about potential changes that need to take place.

Yep, correction is en route. However I don't think we will see under $100 again

Most likely will dip one last time below 200 in the next few months if the daily chart is a fractal of the weekly one. But who knows... the same could have been speculated when we hit $20 last January.

When there's another crash (and there will be one), it could pierce through $200. I would say that $100 is more likely to be the support right now.

Web wallets get hacked all the time. Computer wallets get hacked all the time as well.
Solution? Hybrid P2SH wallets - safer than your online and offline wallets combined. Check it out, store and trade your Bitcoins with ease of mind!

yeah i think it's something along these lines, too. i think long term trend is ~ 80s right now and by the time we crash will be close enough to 100s that the psychological barrier will hold, see look at me crystal ballin Smiley

The reality of the matter is... next month bitcoin could be $1000 or it could be $1.  None of you know for sure. As investment disclosures say: past performance is not a guarantee of future performance. You all are like a bunch of gamblers that have hit black 8 times in a row and expect it to happen a 9th, and a 10th.

it seems 233 USD (on gox) would be a nice support level. Why pierce through?

It can't be 1000$ and it can't be 1$, stop posting extreme views. This is going to a new ATH and then a massive crash.
The new ATH can't be 1000$, but could be over 300$,  and the crash can't go down to 1$, but it could be below 100$.

Sometimes, if it looks too bullish, it's actually bearish

I think we will definitely see below 200 just need to wait for the bubble to pop, the initial downswing will probably be below 200.

hmmm, new low point will be at least 150 USD... We were in the 100-150 range for a long time, people had plenty of time to buy. So now people will start buying huge at 160 I suspect, maybe at 200 USD Wink

support was meant to be broken. it will be an epic crash that runs right through 200. may be a ways off, though. too bullish of market for this talk right now.
