still a bad idea for the size of the blockchain
Why? I think that *500 GB per year* is very rough, and really it will be much smaller - 100-200 GB in first year. I think that it's not a big problem for 2-3 TB HDDs, and yes, remember that it is not just coin - it is storage.

it wouldnt be hard to produce a script to mass spam the blockchain with data to fill up people's hard drive's heck i could do it now just to prove my point

and what do you prove with that? OK, I have several servers, and several TBs won't be a problem (even on my home computer) - it will be enough for years. And many other people can dedicate several hundreds GB to this storage if they like the idea. @Gontxi : as I understood, you can use only OP miner now, and other miners for primecoin if you make some changes to them

Hmmmmm... i has trying to use cgminer No problem... no way for cgminer, it is XPM algo used here @ahmed_bodi: and what is the purpose of such spamming? People without big HDDs can keep their money in online or exchange wallets. And people who have profit from this coin can simply buy HDD. If you spend $100 (0.2 BTC right now ) you can buy storage enough for 10 years.

the point is its a flaw in the coin, people can do such a thing and by putting coins on an exchange/webwallet increases centralization

Just remember that it is not 'just coin', it is storage - look into OP post, he positions storage as main purpose of the coin. If you want to support decentralized storage - this coin is a good choice, because you can get some profit from giving for rent your HDD. What is another way to create decentralized storage except storing rather large pieces of data on independent computers?

Difficulty still near 8, and new blocks are being created much more slowly than ~12 hours ago. Seems that network stabilizes well.

How was this done in the coding? Any new script versions created?
Can you also send messages with this coin?
Thanks oocook5u. This is an idea whose time has come. A real use for cryptocurrencies.

It is very good that info could be added to blockchain in very simple way (just bash script). So, for example, we need little bash script to get all magnet links from Pirate Bay and but all of them into blockchain (of course in multiple blocks), etc etc etc. No complex app is needed for that

Another dev that tries to pull a Satoshi ? Hello ? This only worked for Bitcoin. I sent him a PM - hopefully he will answer. But anyway it is very good coin concept, its code is open, and if he doesn't answer in some days - we can continue developing. There is a lot inherited from PrimeCoin, so development can be parallel.
